How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
It's in the server's nature to need available staff at most times, hence why my time as an Administrator has put me into the core of it's pace, understanding and reacting to events with haste and professionalism, while also being a great judge of whether or not an action is needed and when. The player-base is split into regulars and not, which gives a familiar way of thinking after a while for both dealing with fresh players questions and rule breaks, while also keeping a balance between the two in terms of gameplay and all sorts of advanced mechanics.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team?
(in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
My undeniable dedication and constant contribution into keeping the server in it's rightful "ranking" with both quality of gameplay and persistent-high player base being great parts of it would be my go-to points for it, but a standby list of improvements that i'm planning to implement if i am accepted for this position would be my even greater points, as i plan to, besides continue what i do best, eliminate whatever brings harm to the gameplay's smooth circulation, starting off with map hotfixes to eradicate exploits, more direct approach into bringing previous owner's server fixes & adjustments in terms of code, and even finding more and better ways of stopping cheaters by of course always following the corresponding policy.
These are merely half of my plans as this is an application and i wish to show with action my full capabilities and intentions with procedures to better every aspect of helping players and staff amongst many other stuff.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
As i have never staffed in a server that didn't have a direct approach towards cheaters before, i must admit that due to the server's nature of cheating attraction and during my first experiences, besides the mixed feelings i had, i actually went into whole conversations with a couple Lead Team members as well, trying to persuade a change which after time, it brought me to an understanding of a work being in progress which evidently will bring the required changes along with updates.
After dealing with several more experiences as such, i've adapted to a point where cases like these enable my professional mode in which a very specific series of actions occur that need a delicate and subtle approach, in both collecting evidence and keeping the current player base safe, by forcing such players to a team where they cannot take full advantage of suspected 3rd party cheating softwares.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
After claiming it's handling, i'd thoroughly read the information and proof first and even contact the member reporting personally if needed to get a more detailed idea of the situation. Depending of the complexity of the case, i would either contact the accused staff member to express how the situation is and brief them of their wrong-doing and proceed to a verbal/punishment along with the verdict, or otherwise, i would again contact the accused staff member to inform them about the abuse report made against them and the decision to not accept it along with the official verdict, but still give a little heads-up to them for being cautious as someone went through the trouble to create an abuse report about them in the first place. In most cases abuse reports shouldn't be dealt by a single staff member in my opinion, therefore i would mostly refer to the lead team meeting for a rightful verdict if the case does not include minor offense or none at all.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
As the question states clearly, everyone should be treated fairly but usually when there is authority in our hands, we tend to own situations a bit more arrogantly, without intention most of the times, but in such cases it takes a true professional and a neutral but rightful mind to find the fine line and keep at it so that such treatment does not happen.
My approach towards the staff member would be a very calm attempt to explain how most of the offenses are dealt with by staff followed with some basic but clear examples, and a disclaimer for recurring situations as everything we do the same after we acknowledge it at least once, is intentional.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would either take over the situation without being rude if there isn't much investment by them towards the conversation or kindly ask them to drop off the conversation completely and allow me to take over and conclude in haste, so we can do a follow-up 1 to 1 to discuss a better way of approaching such or similar situations in the future.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would try to get an opinion for myself so i can either firstly ask the staff accusing to only reach at a suggestion when talking directly to another staff member, and only in non-public chat, and if they persist, to report them directly to me or any other Lead Team members, or otherwise try to provide the staff accusing a better understanding of the rules and how they were not broken, but still explain how this should not be present in a public chat but only dealt with delicately, as something involving foul behavior by staff should be carefully examined and acted upon only if necessary.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
First act would be ending any arguments immediately by asking from any staff involved to get on a moderated voice channel so we can put order and evidently an end to any misunderstandings and offensive behavior that might have taken place. After enforcing a calm room, i'd get to the point where i'd help them find resolution to the matter while also helping them acknowledge and apologize for any possible disrespectful expressions they might have used previously. I'd close with a happy note with a re-assurance of how any matter can be discussed with me at any given time.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
This is a very delicate situation and a rapid approach would be the most ideal. Besides gathering evidence regardless of the situation's outcome, i would clearly state what they are doing is breaking certain rules and damaging the player-base, which would evidently cause an awakening and a short discussion about the wrongdoing followed by a possible verbal, otherwise some drastic measures, which would include the use of commands, would be more appropriate, followed by a request towards them to join a moderated voice chat and hear a more direct and formal line of questioning and a warning followed by a corresponding punishment.
Thanks for reading my application. All feedback are welcome!
