Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
While my time as Moderator has been less than a week, I have already in that time punished players accordingly, using both muting someone in chat command and muting someone in voice command, both due to homophobia. As a Moderator I am limited in my actions against possibly more disruptive players such as those with lots of warnings in their rapsheet. By becoming Administrator, I could begin to take actions against those players without having to contact other staff who may be asleep or taking a walk in the park.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
Most players on bhop do not commit heinous crimes like those on other ZARP servers such as DarkRP or TTT, but as I wrote in my previous answer; I feel that I could take actions that I wouldn’t have to have a work around for.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hello
Newly-accepted Moderator!
My name is Red, and I will be training you for becoming a moderator on ZARPGaming Bhop.
First, we’ll start off with the
Staff Ethos; the ethos explains that we recommend you to remain calm and friendly when dealing with users in the community. That our aim as a staff team is to improve the experience for the people in the community. That when dealing with disrespectful users we advise to mainly use powers such as muting, gagging and warning before kicking or banning. That you use their previous punishments to help decide on your punishment and that you only take the last two weeks into account.
As a staff member, working as a team is important, therefore you should help each other instead of going against each other.
You can ask for help from other staff members using admin chat, steam chat, teamspeak, discord, etc.
Now let's delve into what you have to use; First as I mentioned previously is the rapsheet and warning system. The rapsheet, you can open using the F6 key on your keyboard, which will show you the player (you have selected’s) rapsheet. The punishments given within the last two weeks are marked in red.
The warning system, you can open by tying
”!warn” in chat. You can then select the player and write the warning reason.
Then we have your commands,
Mute chat - this will mute someone from being able to type in textchat. We recommend 5 minutes for the first offense, then increasing by 5 to 10, then 15, 20 etc.
Mute globally - this will mute someone from being able to speak in voicechat. Same recommendations as with the previous command.
Strip weapons - this command will strip all their weapons in someone’s inventory. This command could be used in case a player is being disruptive by hunting down another player by shooting at them.
Kick - this command will kick someone from the server. Use this command if a player is continuously breaking the rules, such as in the last approx. 30 minutes with 3+ voice chat mutes, etc.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that Staff Member x banned them permanently for Exploiting, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I would handle the response by discussing it with the staff who punished the user, or with another fellow staff if that staff no longer plays on ZARP.
If the player has indeed appealed in great detail, apology and effort, I would look at how long since the user was banned and if the time has been appropriate, I then unban the player and give them instructions to re-read the server rules.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
As I wrote in my answer to the first question, my time being Moderator has been the minimum, with me having been staff for less than a week, but I believe this time has taught me everything I need to move on to becoming Administrator.
I have previous experience in being staff on ZARP before, where I have been Server Owner of Deathrun, Super Admin of Minecraft and held postions at TTT, Prophunt and Murder.
Thanks for reading my application.
