Give and explain 3 situations in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
1: A user has crashed the server 3 times and lied about it (who would do such a thing)
2: A user has multiple recents and continues to break rules. (EX: Homophobia/MRDM/NLR/LTAP)
3: A user RDM's an expensive suit and refuses to refund.
Explain in detail the main functions of the F1 menu and how this can be used to help you deal with situations on the server:
The F1 menu has lots of important information needed for staffing.
The first page you are met with when opening the F1 menu is the
Admin Requests page.
This page is for incoming reports or "F1s" from users who need help from staff. You can right-click a report in this menu for a couple of options like marking it as spam, handling the F1, or tping to the user.
If another staff member is already handling the report, it will tell you.
The Warnings tab.
The warnings tab shows punishments that other staff have handed out recently, so if you need to know who to keep an eye on you should check for names under this tab. You can also view people's warnings on their rapsheet, but if you didn't know that then you probably shouldn't be going for admin.
Logs, the logs are super important in staffing for obvious reasons. You need the logs to find important information about situations that you yourself did not witness. Do keep in mind that the logs are not always sufficient proof of what happened, so video evidence is usually needed. Here is an example of a kill log:
Devas (STEAM_0:1:61182541) was killed by LeftyIsHere (STEAM_0:1:85964359) with a weapon_vapourizetaser in the Spawn District.
[SUIT RIP] LeftyIsHere killed a Advanced Combat Suit
The last page of the F1 menu is the
Active NLR tab
The Active NLR tab is just how it sounds, the tab will show all the NLR that people have. This page also shows when the NLR they have ends, and what district they have it in.
Explain in detail how you would handle the following situation:
You witness Player A being verbally abusive towards you through voice/chat whilst you are carrying out your administrative duties.
If a player is being verbally abusive towards me while I'm staffing, I would ask them to stop for obvious reasons. If they decide to carry on or they already have a bad rapsheet, I would mute them for 10 minutes.
Explain in detail how you would handle the following situation:
Player A makes an appeal on a ban that was placed on them permanently for prop spamming, putting great apology and detail into the appeal, admitting to what they did. Explain the process of how you would handle this appeal.
Firstly, I would leave a comment on the thread letting the other staff members know that I am handling the appeal, then I would contact the staff member who banned them. We would talk about how the situation was, and then decide if we want to accept or deny the appeal. After all is said and done I would write an outcome for the appeal and inform a section moderator that it needs to be moved and locked.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend a minimum of around 150 words):
I believe I should be promoted to administrator because I have regained trust within the staff team and I have countless hours staffing with zarp on both the in-game servers and on the forums. This promotion will give me more commands that will help with my staffing (most importantly, banning, jailing, cloaking, noclipping (AND PHSYGUNNING)). I have been back on the staff team for a couple of weeks and I already have needed these commands in some situations and I had to work around it. I have past LT experience as Head Admin and I have handled loads of appeals and reports on the forums. Promoting me to administrator will help me clean the server of rulebreakers more effeciently, and handle forum business during times when others may be asleep due to my timezone. Thank you for considering my application.
