How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
In my 3 months of being surf staff I helped newcomers, punished rulebreakers and attended as many meetings as I could to stay updated with the progress of the new features that the LT has developed in this time. I feel very comfortable in handling the server even when I'm the only staff member on.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
I currently hold a Lead Team rank as PropHunt SA, I'm trusted by the community and with SA commands. I'm no coder and I'm not always the first to suggest new features or updates, but that's because I want to focus on the well being of the players and staff first, on being a reference point when it comes to treating others, and on mantaining order and equilibrium. I may be naturally introverted but I do know how to be vocal and how to prove my point at all times with honesty and without loafing around. My strong points are my chill and low-key attitude, my calm and relaxed approach to any situation I might need to handle, my independence and my welcoming attitude to the new players, my attachment to justice and aversion towards any type of hate or disrespect. I learned how to apply leadership while putting myself on the same level as the player/staff member, which is in my opinion essential if someone wants to be actually listened.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
Honestly there was none. Surf is very different from other gamemodes, and admins can handle basically any rulebreaking on the server.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
To handle the report in the best way I would review any footage (audio, video, screenshots etc) and perspective points available. I would make questions to every staff member that may have been present and about how the staff member was behaving lately, to the person who did the report, to people which the staff member may have spoken to about what happened. If the report is convincing I would for sure tell the staff member where they wrongly behaved and not to do it again. In very bad scenarios a demotion (with the rest of the lead team opinions and approval) could be considered.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I would review all the perspective points available (interrogating the banned user, the staff member and other possible witnesses) and ask the staff member to tell me in detail about what happened and why did he reacted that way. I would then remind them that it's important to consider everytime how we approach situations on the server, because we have to give the players a good impression and we need to make them understand that we handle the server for them to enjoy it more. if the player received a particularly unfair punishment i could also encourage him to make a ban appeal on the forums with the right explanation and template.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would intervene first telling the staff member via admin chat or voice if we're in a call/ts channel to politely stop dealing with the situation, then I would handle the situation correctly so the staff member could see which was the correct way to do it. I wouldn't be annoyed or bothered by how the staff member couldn't handle the situation in the right manner but I would ask them to review with focus any possible similar situation to that specific one. If the staff members still has questions I would tell them everything they want to know about any situation.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would first verify if the accusation is valid by asking other staff members about their experience with these 2 staff members involved in the accusation and by examining all the perspective points. if it's valid i'll remind the accused member which responsibilities his role implies and that rulebreaking by staff members is something that also has effects on all of Zarp and not only on the surf team, if the players find out about it. if the accusation is not valid or confused i would have a talk with both of them to understand what went wrong and how to resolve it without causing a conflict between the 2.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
I would talk to them privately as soon as possible and first of all tell the first one that it's unacceptable behaviour to be disrespectful, especially against other staff members and to stop now if they want to keep their role. after they calm down and relax I would ask both or one at a time (if they don't collaborate) about what happened and what made the argument start. Whichever the end result would be, I would eventually tell them that situations like this one aren't tolerated and that i would keep an eye out for the first one for some time and make sure that they don't fight and that they focus on their duties. we all share the same job to help others and to not being obstacles between each other.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would stop the staff member immediately and have a private talk straightaway in a discord call or on a private channel on ts. I would give him/her the chance to explain himself/herself and based on the correlation between what he/she says and the actual behaviour he/she was having I would decide to either warn him and report him to the rest of the lead team or (also based on the severity of their actions) have a conversation reminding him/her their duties and responsibilities while keeping an eye out for him/her for the a variable period of time. If the staff member was simply rulebreaking for the sake of rulebreak a demotion would be very probably be involved after speaking with the rest of the lead team.
