~Why I should be promoted~
How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
In my 6 months as an Administrator, I have gotten to handle many different situations. Some situations have been hard that I needed to think about for a longer time and some situations have been easy. When I handle reports I make sure the user understand which rule they broke and how to act to avoid breaking rules. I have handled many appeals and I feel like I have handled them pretty good and fairly. I have even reached out to the LT and asked to train a moderator and also helped to fill the application sheet.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team?
Teamspeak
I am on TeamSpeak every day and when I'm on TeamSpeak I talk with fellow staff members. If a staff member needs help I tell them to come on TeamSpeak so I can guide them through the situation so they know how to do it in the future if they face the same situation. When I'm in a meeting I always try to make my opinion heard and I stand for my opinion.
Attitude
I always have a positive attitude towards users and staff. If a staff member needs help I will gladly help the staff member and if they have any questions I try to share my knowledge to the fullest extend. I am a very forgiving person and if I get RDMed and the user are sorry and it was an honest mistake I always forgive them and tell them to be more careful. I made many friends when I joined the community especially since I got a staff position.
Forums
I am very active on forums and if I see a TTT related topics I make sure to respond to it and give my opinion and some feedback. If it's an application I give my opinion and try to give them some constructive feedback so they know what they can improve on. When I handle a ban or punishment appeal I make sure to hear both sides of the story and then make my outcome based on the evidence I found and what they said.
~Staff related questions~
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
A though situation as Admin is when a cheater comes on as we can't punish hackers or do anything to them. What I would do in this situation is go into spectator mode and spectate the cheater. When I spectate the cheater I would record the gameplay and send it to LT so they can bring it up in the meeting and discuss it.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
First I would look into the report abuse and look at the evidence if they provide any evidence. Then I would talk to the staff member and the user that made the report. When I have the full side of the story from both the staff member and the player I would make a decision based on what I found out and the evidence that was in the report.
Accepted
Hello ____
After looking at the evidence and hearing both sides of the story. I have decided to accept this report because what the staff member did was wrong. I will make sure this doesn't happen again.
This has been:
Thank you for making this report.
Denied
Hello ____
After looking at the evidence and hearing both sides of the story. I have decided to deny this because the evidence you provided wasn't sufficient enough and the staff member didn't do anything wrong.
This has been:
Thank you for making this report.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
First I would check the ban length. After seeing the ban I would contact the staff member and ask them if they think the ban was length right and why. Then I would help the staff member to make the right decision and after that, I would give them the link to the staff rulebook so they can see how long they are going to ban the next time. After that, I would make them unban the person they banned and re-ban them with the right ban length.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
First I would contact the staff member and ask them what they are struggling with. After I got to know what the staff member is struggling with I would guide them on how to handle the situation so they know how to handle a similar situation.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would first ask the staff member that is making the accusation and ask them for evidence and their side of the story. After that, I would talk to the accused staff member and get his side of the story. After getting both sides of the story and looking at the evidence I would decide how to proceed. If I see that the report is valid I would get the evidence and bring it up in the next LT meeting.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
First of all, I would break the argument. Then I would tell them to join Teamspeak so we can figure this out. When we are on Teamspeak I would ask for an explanation. Then I would get the staff members to apologize to each other and tell them that a staff team should work together and respect each other's opinions and not fight about it. I would also make sure this doesn't happen in the future.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
First I would tell the staff member to stop immediately and then ask him to come on Teamspeak. When the staff member comes on Teamspeak I would explain what they did wrong and make sure this doesn't happen again. If they don't stop I would emergency demote them and bring it up in the LT meeting.
Thank you for reading my application and all feedback is appreciated!
