Give and explain 3 situations in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
- When a player has scammed another player and clear evidence is provided.
- When a player has exceeded a reasonable amount of warnings and continues to break rules.
- When a player is intentionally exploiting and is harming the experience of other players.
Explain in detail the main functions of the F1 menu and how this can be used to help you deal with situations on the server:
Admin Requests
This is the home screen of the F1 menu and is used for locating all of the active reports on the server. The main purpose of this screen is to allow you to right click on any report and handle it, or remove it should it need removing. Once you have right clicked a report you are greeted with the options; Handle this, Discard as spam or abuse and Copy...
"Handle this" will simply mean you become the admin who is handling the situation, fairly self explanatory. But once you have done this you will be greeted with more options, if you right click it. These options are; Goto, Bring, Mark as finished, Abort handling this and Copy. These are all really useful day to day commands you will use in almost every situation.
Warnings
This is where you can view all of the most recent warnings handed out on the server, with the rapsheet existing you will probably find yourself hardly ever using this. As an ex-head admin I can safely say I have
never needed this particular tab, the rapsheet is far easier and simpler to use!
Logging
The logging tab is your best friend, you will use this tab in absolutely every report you handle in game. It can tell you things such as, kills, arrests, hits and even job changes. There's not many things this tab won't record. It will also tell you when a user was killed whilst breaking NLR to save you time during sits!
Active NLR
The active NLR tab tells you all of the users who currently have an active new life rule timer, in what district they have it and how long they have it until. This menu ties in nicely to the NLR timers that appear on other players you look at, it's really helpful at getting you to catch rulebreakers.
Explain in detail how you would handle the following situation:
You witness Player A being verbally abusive towards you through voice/chat whilst you are carrying out your administrative duties.
I would personally tell them first that while I am not personally bothered about what they are saying, others might and they should stop and follow the rules / TOU. If they were to ignore me, I would then proceed to mute them through whichever system it is they are abusing. Should they continue I would hand out warnings / stricter punishments depending on what is being said and done.
Explain in detail how you would handle the following situation:
Player A makes an appeal on a ban that was placed on them permanently for prop spamming, putting great apology and detail into the appeal, admitting to what they did. Explain the process of how you would handle this appeal.
I would firstly mention on the appeal that I am going to be the admin handling the appeal. I would then do my best to contact the banning admin in all possible ways and ask them for their opinion on the situation.
According to the policy I must wait 24 hours before posting a response unless I get a reply from the punishing admin, in most situations this doesn't happen. Once I have gotten the banning admins opinion on the appeal. I would then proceed to the decision process, in which I make the choice as to whether I accept the appeal or not.
Once I have made my decision I would reply to the appeal in a professional manner, in this situation I would accept the appeal on the grounds that the user is apologetic and honest. I would also make it clear to the user that we will be keeping an eye on them, to prevent the same issue from happening again.
Why I should be promoted:
I believe I should be re-selected for administrator as I am a trustworthy person, I am a former head admin and believe I was fairly popular in that position. I received a lot of praise during my time as a staff member previously, I also believe I did a good job. I did and still do my fair share of F1's and try to motivate other staff to do theirs, I have good leadership and communication skills and can use these to my advantage as an admin.
My activity is very consistent, which means I am able to be a reliable admin and can get on when needed. Due to this activity I am also able to be a very active staff member on the forums, in terms of responding to ban appeals and punishment requests. I want to strive to be able to achieve what I did in the past and hopefully reclaim my position on the lead team in the future!
I am also a former staff member on many other ZARP services, so I am proven to do well in the position of higher staff roles, I do intend completely intend on applying for the lead team again in the far future. For now though, want to prove I can manage the powers I would have as an administrator on the server.
I am aware I have only been an SSRP moderator for a couple of weeks so far, however I wanted to get the application out early so that if people were to have criticism then I could see it and work on it as soon as possible. As I have already mentioned I am an ex-head admin on SSRP amongst many other roles, so I do know exactly what I am meant to be doing plus some.
I feel like I could be doing a lot more if I were to be promoted.
