Explain a situation where it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
An appropriate time to use the ban command would be if a user has too many recent punishments (6-7+ within 2 weeks)
Situation: A player kills somebody and they get reported for RDM. While I am handling this report, I can see that the player did in fact RDM. I check the reported players' rap sheet and I see that that they have 6 recent punishments! I then notice that they have not been previously banned. After closing the chat, I would give the player that RDMed a warning for RDM. I would then proceed to ban the player for 1-3 days (because this will be their first ban) for "Too many recent punishments"
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology, and effort. You check the ban list and find that Staff Member x banned them permanently for Exploiting and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
After reading over the appeal, the first thing I would do is reply to the topic
"Handling" so that other staff members will know that I will be handling the appeal and so that there is no confusion. I would then get in contact with the staff member that had issued the ban to find out how the player was exploiting. After reviewing both sides of the story and speaking with the staff member, I would come to the conclusion to either
accept or
deny the appeal.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
So far I have enjoyed my time being staff on the server and I believe that I am ready to take on more responsibilities. I enjoy handling reports and try to handle them as efficiently as possible. When I am unsure of how to handle a report, I either ask in Admin chat for assistance or I use the ZARP TTT Staff Handbook to figure out how to handle the situation. There are times when I can't do much against mass rulebreakers with the commands that I have and have to try to get in contact with an Admin or higher which sometimes is difficult due to timezones. As an Administrator, I would be able to handle these situations myself and stop people from continuous mass rulebreaking by banning the user (depending on the situation)
Extra Information:
Thank you to all of the staff members that have helped me get through situations that I may have struggled with!
