I'm applying for section moderator for, Appeals, Server Applications, and Report Abuse.
Steam Name:
Matt
Forum Name:
Mattors
What server(s) are you active on?:
TTT, TS3, Forums, Discord (sometimes)
I am From:
Scotland
Time spent with ZARP Gaming?:
2½ Years
How often do you come on the forums:
Lots, whenever I'm at home I'll have the forums on a second monitor and I'm always looking for threads that I can contribute to.
Why You?:
Activity
I'm almost always on the forums, reading over threads and posting when I feel that my input would be useful. Because of this, I won't get the highest post count, but I feel that the majority of my posts are constructive and helpful. I contribute to the vast majority of TTT related posts, be it applicants, appeals, report abuses or new suggestions, giving my thoughts, and helping out when needed. Even though just this month, my post count hasn't been the highest, I have shown my activity over the past months since I returned by actively posting in numerous sections. This was even the case when I used to be staff over two years ago. I think I've more than shown I'm capable of being active and consistent. I try to contact forum staff when I see posts breaking TOU, or posts that need to be locked for whatever reason.
Experience
Currently, I hold the rank of TTT Super admin, as well as TeamSpeak and discord staff, in addition to this, I've held the same positions in the past totaling to about 6 months. Throughout this time, I've encountered loads of situations and shown to be more than capable of dealing with them. Although I've never been forum staff, I am a fast learner and with my current experience, I would be able to effectively staff the forums. I have also been able to pick up things from interacting with past and present forum staff so I already have a decent understanding of the basics behind the forums, when to lock posts, as well as the other powers that a section moderator has.
Attitude/Friendliness
When I'm on the forums I always have a good attitude and I try to be as nice as possible, giving constructive criticism to applicants rather than just saying minussp, I do this because it helps them understand what they need to work on before they can get the position, rather than me just saying they're not good enough. When I actually play TTT, I'm a little more relaxed and like to have fun with people, but I'm still professional when I need to be, however on the forums I'd say in posts to do with staffing, I am almost always professional. I'm a pretty chill and approachable guy which makes it easy for people to come and talk to me when they have any issues. Tjese are useful qualities for a section moderator to have as it allows them to communicate easily with the rest of the forum staff team, as well as with users who may have an issue with why a certian post was locked for example.
Extra
At the moment, the Report Abuse section only has one staff member and no one from TTT. I think it would be very beneficial to have a member of the TTT lead-team moderating this section, to help provide information on TTT specific threads, and to generally help out the staff team. I'm very experienced in handling both appeals and report abuses, which would make staffing the section easier as I know the needed procedures, making it easier to provide the correct templates, give details about the situation, etc. Server applications has always been one of my favourite sections, and although I try to avoid just posting plussp, I do try to give feedback to applicants that has been overlooked or just give my personal opinion. Also, I try to help people with providing templates, steamids, gametrackers, and everything else to help them format their application.
