Explain how you feel that your time as a Moderator will contribute to you becoming an Admin:
During my time as moderator i have dealt with numerous rule breakers (ghosters, people being disrespectful/racist). These situations that I have handled have given me a lot of experience on how to staff on prophunt which will contribute to and help me becoming an admin.
Explain a situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
A situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command would be if somebody was mass rule breaking on the server ( e.g. continuous racism after already been muted and kicked). In this scenario I would ban them for a day so that they will learn their lesson and will feel more inclined to follow the rules if they were to rejoin the server after their ban.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hello Player X, welcome to the staff team. Now you have your moderator rank you have gained a lot of new commands and responsibility in the server, i will now walk you through how you use these commands to enhance the experience of the people playing.
Firstly I suggest binding a key to open the xgui menu, this is where the majority of your commands are found. You can do this by entering this 'bind "key" xgui' into the developer console.
The first section of the xgui menu is the 'chat' section. The first command you find here is amute. Amute is a command that mutes a person from using the admin chat. You would use amute when a user is spamming the admin chat, but it is recommended you give them a verbal warning first. Next you have tgag and tmute. These commands mute the user from talking in voice chat with the former and text chat with the latter. Examples where you would use these commands would be if a user is text spamming / mic spamming. The final command in this section is webtauntmute. This command is quite self-explanatory as it mutes a user from using web taunts. You would use this command if someone is playing discriminatory web taunts which break the servers rules.
The second section in the xgui menu is the 'fun' section. In this section you have one command, slay. You would use the slay command if a prop is breaking the server rules such as prop blocking, e.g. a prop has blocked themself behind a door making it impossible for them to be killed.
The third section in the xgui menu is the 'teleport' section. In this section there are 3 commands available to you. 'bring', 'goto' and 'teleport'. the bring command brings a target to your location, the goto command teleports you to a target and the teleport command teleports a target to where your crosshair is pointing. You would use the bring / teleport command if you're a hunter and another hunter is stuck somewhere and can't move.
The final section in the xgui menu is the 'utility' section. In this section you have 5 main commands: kick, checkspec, fspec, friends and forceteam. the kick command removes a user from the server, you may use this command if a player continues to rulebreak after a first warning/mute/gag. the checkspec, friends and forceteam commands are all used to deal with people ghosting. You use friends to see who is friends with who on the server, checkspec to see who a dead player is spectating and forceteam to manually swap a player from one team to another. the fspec command forces a player to spectate, you would use this when a player is AFK, but make sure to check first!
Following on from the xgui menu you have an additional command which is !warn. you would use !warn to warn players for rulebreaks such as exploiting, but i would recommend that you give them a verbal on the first offense as sometimes people don't realise what they're doing is an exploit. You can see a players rapsheet by clicking f6 and either selecting their name if they're online or entering their steamid. This allows you to see all the players punishments including gags/mutes/warns.
If you have any questions feel free to let me know, and thanks again for dedicating some of your time to help out the prophunt server!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that Staff Member x banned them permanently for Exploiting, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Hello Player X, thankyou for making your appeal. After speaking with Staff Member X we have decided that you deserve another chance on the server, before you rejoin the server I recommend you go over the
rules one more time to ensure you aren't caught rule breaking on the server again which may lead to consequent bans in the future.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I think I should be promoted because I am among the most active staff members on the server and becoming an admin will help me better the experience of the players on the server as I will be able to deal with more situations in and out of game. I am currently deathrun admin and have been murder admin in the past meaning I have lots of experience being admin on zarp pointshop servers so I am familiar with what is expected of me and what comes with the role. Overall I am an experienced and fair staff member so I believe i would be a great fit for the admin role
