Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Random Death Match is where a player kills another player without a valid reason or randomly.
Examples of valid reason to kill a player:
In self-defense (Someone shoots you first and you kill them back).
When you are wanted and a player in a "police" job tries to arrest you or has been following you for an extended period of time.
When a player tries to raid a base that you own/are in a gang with.
There is a hit on a player and you are a hitman.
Examples of RDM:
They killed you in a previous life and you go back to kill them just for that reason.
You are a hitman and someone gives you a hit privately without using the /hit system.
You are a cop and you try to kill another cop that is not in self defense.
You kill people AFK for fun.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
New Life Rule is where a player returns back to a district that they have died in before the NLR timer for that district has passed.
NLR is removed when a player uses a tactical insertion in the district or is defibbed by another player, removing the NLR timer that they would have to wait if they respawned normally.
Example of NLR:
A player dies in their base due to a raid and returns to their base to help prevent the raid. This would not be NLR if the player used a tactical insertion in the district or was defibbed.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You are handling a report in which player A accuses player B of killing them for no reason in a report via the F1 system.
First, I would TP to Player A to ask them if I can bring them to a roof.
After I have TP'd Player A to a roof I would TP to player B and tell them that they have been reported for RDM and that I need to take them to a sit.
When I have TP'd both players to the roof I will then ask Player A about what happened. After Player A explains their story I would then ask for Player B's side of the story.
If Player A accepts Player B's side of the story then I would finish up the sit.
If Player A refuses to accept Player B's side of the story I would then ask Player A for proof of Player B RDMing them.
If Player A provides proof of Player B RDMing and it clearly shows that they RDMed player A with context, then I shall give Player B a verbal warning or a formal warning depending on their attitude and depending on if player B has any recent punishments.
I will tell Player B that they have RDMed and explain what that is.
If Player A provides no proof or the proof does not show any RDM, I will start to finish the sit.
I will inform that Player A needs to provide proof or that they need clearer proof for a report.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You witness a user mass RDMing in spawn, killing many people constantly to the point where users are complaining.
Firstly, I would freeze the player to prevent them from being able to mass RDM or break any more rules.
I will inform them that they are mass RDMing and depending on their response I shall give them a verbal or formal warning.
I will also inform them to read the rules using !rules and kept them frozen for a minute or so to have time to read the rules.
I will then unfreeze the player and try to monitor their actions for a bit to make sure they do not continue to mass RDM or break rules.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend a minimum of around 150 words):
I should be accepted because I am an active member of ZARP who wants to improve the experience for other players.
I am active in a timezone where I do not usually see a lot of staff online and I would like to help.
I will have consistent activity on both servers and will be happy to complete F1s as quickly as I can reasonably manage.
I try to be as friendly as I can be and I do not really get angry, so I will be able calm and collected when dealing with rule breakers.
I have also been a moderator and admin for SSRP previously for a while back in 2017, so I have experience with situations that might arise during my time as a moderator again.
Thank you for reading my application!
Any feedback or criticism is much appreciated!
