Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Random Death Match (RDM) is where a player kills another player without any valid Roleplaying reason. Valid reasons include being raided, robbed, ect. An example of this could be for instance player A is building a shop whilst player B wonders into player A's building area. So player A kills player B. This is known as RDM. However many cases where Random Death Match is called, it's not actually RDM. For example, player A (Citizen) is running along the street and player B leads Player A into a building or somewhere that isn't public. Player B has a job that allows mugging. Player B shouts, "Give me $2,000 or I will kill you!" Player A fails to meet Player B's demands. So player B then kills them.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
New life rule is what occurs when a player dies and respawns. They begin a new life and so they forget everything from their past life. For example losing all memories of their past experiences. They are not able to return to their previous location without waiting at least 3 minutes. The NLR is enforced in ZARP Dark RP as it keeps the flow of the server on a Roleplaying level. An example scenario of this would be where a player who is defending against a raid is killed. They then cannot return to their previous location until the NLR timer expires. However if a player was RDM'd, that player will have to request an admin or moderator using the F1 command. They then must keep their distance to allow an admin or moderator to deal with the accused.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You are handling a report in which player A accuses player B of killing them for no reason in a report via the F1 system.
I would begin by heading to player A, ensuring that they are calm, proceed to question the recent scenario and ask whether or not they have any proof. [screenshots, recordings, etc] After checking the logs, I would then proceed to bring player B to the situation, with valid reason of course. I would begin by questioning player B of their side to the recent scenario, listening carefully and comparing alongside the scenario given by player A. With valid reason, I would issue player B with a warning for RDM. If either there was not enough proof, or I wasn't fully satisfied that a rule was broken, no warning would be given and both players would be returned to their previous locations.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You witness a user mass RDMing in spawn, killing many people constantly to the point where users are complaining.
I would begin by freezing the user who is mass rdming, depending on his recents, if he had no recents or a couple i would warn him and unfreeze him, if he carried on doing it, i would ask help from a higherup, if the user that was mass rdming had a lot of recents, i would freeze him and ask a higherup for help in staff chat as the player may be entitled to a ban depending on how severe the mass rdm is and how many recents are currently on his rap sheet, this also varies if the player has just came off a ban for mass rdm which i would freeze him and ask help from a higher up.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend a minimum of around 150 words):
I should be chosen for the chance to be a Moderator as I'm a very active person that offers support to other players and staff in the best way I can. I'm a very enthusiastic player that enjoys the ZARP Gaming community and have done so for a very long time. I desire to be a part of the friendly staff knowing that I can exceed all expectations that others have of me. I am a very mature and friendly person that has a lot of spare time to offer towards the server. I strongly believe that I am perfect to be staff at ZARP Gaming as I am a very welcoming, reliable and responsible person. I understand that being a Moderator can be extremely stressful at times, but I am fully prepared for any situation that may come my way, by remaining calm, friendly and reasonable at all times. I know that if I was given the chance, I wouldn't let anyone down. I will remain advisable and fair at all times while ensuring justice has been achieved and checking that both sides to each argument are resolved. I will keep a watchful eye over the servers at all times. I would sustain order by making sure that rules are followed and players are content. I would offer support to any Moderators or Admins that need assistance whilst they're on duty. Over the past 6 years with ZARP Gaming I feel that it's time to give back to the community and help take the servers to great achievements. I strongly hope you consider me to be a Moderator, I would do you proud.
