OnionRings' General Discussion, Server Application & Appeals Section Moderator Application
Forum Name:
OnionRings
What server(s) are you active on?:
I am currently active on 6 Zarp Gaming Servers.
Surf/Bhop/Prophunt/SSRP
I am currently Bhop & Surf Owner, Prophunt Super Admin and SSRP Admin. These ranks require me to be very active and play on the servers and enjoy them. These sections will help me with reports/applications/appeals for the server to where I will be able to lock and deal with them myself and in general moderate the entire section.
TeamSpeak 3
I'm Very active on TeamSpeak server, I am online nearly everyday talking with many other staff members and having a fun time. I'm also a TeamSpeak staff member.
Forums
I'm active on the forums as well. I come on the forums Everyday to help players out either for a problem or just a question about the Community. I try my best to be active in the server apps section , but a lot of the time I don't post there but I'm always reading what people say in that section and if needed I will reply to it. I'm also currently section staff in Surf/Bhop and Server Issues/Suggestions to where I post actively to my best.
I am From:
Ireland
Time spent with Zarp Gaming?:
Currently 5+ years, coming up 6 years in June.
How often do you come on the forums:
Everyday.
Why You?:
I know I've only been back nearly 2 months now however, I really am back and want to gain my ranks within the community. I believe I could be great help to the section and fix up players applications and lock them once they are replied to after the server meetings. I believe I'd be a good person for this section and will be to the best of my ability. As for appeals I am less active than the server applications section however, it will improve by being a section moderator will make me post more by helping the users staff wise by removing non-constructive posts and editing in templates to help users appeal their bans. There are also 0 moderators in the appeals section. There are already 2 moderators in report abuse but the section is extremely active and I believe I can help out due to sending posts to all the forum staff constantly, this is also the same for general discussion.
Activity
I try to be as active as I can, I'm currently studying for exams but I am able to get online on the teamspeak and the servers I am wanting to be staff on. I'm online for roughly 6 hours a day and I can go on my phone to do forum work when I'm not on my pc. Now I know I don't have many posts as a user in the server applications section but I do read most of the applications.
Experience/Trust
I have gained so much experience in the past few years. I was once a Global Moderator for about 2 1/2 years and before that I was forum staff for about 3 years or more overall. I can truly be trusted with more forums sections showing my past and now current experience. I'm also trusted with power due to already holding 3 sections and being Owner of 2 servers plus lead team and staff on another.
What a Section Moderator Can do:
A section moderator has a few commands of what they can do on the forums. I'm going to list a few down below that I know you get as a section mod.
Moving Threads:
Yes , as a section moderator you're able to move users threads if they accidentally post something in the wrong section such as a Server Application in the SSRP section or General Discussion You have the ability to move it.
Locking Threads:
As a Section Moderator you have the permission to lock threads, this should be used if a user is done with his thread, he wants it locked or if the post is not constructive and clearly trolling.
Example: Player A applies for staff but decided later on that he no longer wants to apply, once he states in the main post that he revokes his application it can then be locked.
Sticky Threads/Topics:
For the Server Applications section this may be rarely needed, It can be used to make a topic show above all other topics in a section. This is currently used for the application templates and guides. However, if in the future there is an important topic it is best to consult a global moderator+ before sticking the topic.
Editing Posts:
As a section moderator you have the permission to edit other users threads/topics in the section that you hold the moderator rank. You would use the
button and then you can edit their application but fixing the game tracker links or titles.
