Link to my gametracker -> www.gametracker.com/player/OpenAI%20%28H...arpgaming.com:27019/ Estimated Server Time: 170 hours Languages I speak: English, Serbia, German Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator contributed to you becoming an admin: Knowing how to handle problematic users and get accustomed to that on the server makes me ready for the next step. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user): The most problematic situation so far was a user that was disrespectful. After a warning or two he continued with threats and disrespect towards the staff. I decided to take further action like muting, but before that I talked to the other staff member about my decision in the mod chat. They approved of it, so I muted them for 10 minutes. They they started mic spamming. I muted them there as well. After that they left/stopped. If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?: Congrats on getting mod. A moderator is there to take care of problematic users and maintain a friendly server though enforcement of rules. This is done through the interface that displays when you press tab and go into a user. You can spectate a player without them knowing by using the spectate option. You can kick them by using the kick option. Depending on their behavior you can mute them on appropriate chats via these options. You can kick them, but this should be rarely used. People usually listen when you warn them normally and/or mute them. You also have the warning menu where you can warn the player. Make sure the appropriate reason is set when you warn someone. When it gets to 5 warnings (I think) the system takes care of the user automatically by a ban. So the process is pretty much Warn verbally 1-2 times -> Warn and/or Mute -> Warn -> Kick -> Warn -> ... Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? Probably contact fellow staff and ask for their opinion about my decision. The decision would be to unban them but closely monitor them for a while while having staff be alert as well. Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words): We have a lack of staff and I am the perfect staff member. The more privileges I get, the quality of the server will be better. I would also love to be a bit involved in solving the coding problems as that's my profession, however I understand this is not related to the admin position. Honestly I would love to manage a lot of the things related to the server. Extra Information: (Not Required) I have been staff on a million places for a million different things. Many forums, chatrooms, game servers, real life events. Combine that with being proactive and loving the server (as it's the only one on garry's mod I play) that makes me the perfect staff member. |
