How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
I believe that during my time as administrator I have become significantly better at communicating with both users and fellow staff members. This has allowed me to handle situations involving other staff members much more efficiently (in appeals and such). This contributes tremendously to me becoming a Super Administrator as I have had previous experiences with other staff members. In addition to this my knowledge of the rules has also increased drastically allowing me to handle situations confidently and professionally.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
I have played on SSRP for around 18 months now and for a large majority of that time i have been a staff member. During this time I have learnt a variety of things about my position and my responsibilities. I believe that I have been able to improve my ability to handle situations as well as recently being able to train a staff member under the supervision of Martin. I believe this makes me a good candidate for the position as I am strongly dedicated to the server. My activity on the server has been fairly good across the time I have been a staff member elucidating my commitment to the server and the amount I enjoy playing it. My activity on teamspeak has also increased recently and I am joining more channels and speaking to Lead Team members. I believe this makes me a good candidate as being in these channels I learn more about how the server is run and how i should handle situations from a Lead Team perspective.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
Recently I was receiving reports of a user in spawn mass rdming. After closer investigation I could see that the player was obviously using a client that allowed them to essentially 'aimbot'. Luckily I was in a teamspeak channel with Xnator at the time and I was able to promptly inform him and he came on to handle the situation. Due to the hacking policy I was not able to do anything however if I was a Super Administrator I would have removed the user who blatantly didn't care about the server promptly without the delay of contacting an LT member therefore giving them a smaller window to abuse their client.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
Firstly I would view over the evidence that was supplied by the person who made the report. After gaining a good understanding of the evidence I would then contact the staff member in question and ask for their side of the story gaining a comprehensive overview of the entire situation. After this I would speak to other LT members and ask for their opinion on the situation. Finally I would make an informed judgement on the situation. If the report was accepted then it would be brought up in the LT meeting.
After reviewing the evidence provided and speaking to other staff members about the situation I have decided to accept this report. The staff member in question handled this situation incorrectly and this will be brought up in the LT meeting on Saturday. Thank you for the report. Have a nice day.
After reviewing the evidence supplied and speaking to other LT members as well as the staff member in question I have decided to deny this report as the situation seems well handled and the evidence supplied does not show a clear violation on their part. Have a nice day.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
Firstly I would ask if I could speak to the staff member in question in teamspeak, if they are unable to do this then the /pm system would be appropriate. Then I would ask what the reason was for the ban. After this I would explain to the staff member that this is excessive and maybe a reduced amount of time would be a better option. After discussing it with them the ban length would be reduced to an amount of time the reflects the severity of the users actions.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
Initially I would contact the staff member via pm and ask them if they require assistance. If they did not then I would watch the situation. If they later ask for help or are unable to control the situation then I would take over and handle the situation. After that I would tell the staff member how to do this correctly in future.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
First of all I would speak to the accusing staff member and ask for any evidence they have of the incident and what they believed happened. After that I would speak to the other staff member and ask for their side of the story and show them the evidence I had. If the accused staff member violated the rules I would explain what was wrong with what they did and remind them of the influence they hold. Depending on the severity of the situation I would mention the incident in the next LT meeting
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
Initially I would try to calm all staff members down and prevent the argument from continuing. I would then speak to the staff member that sparked the argument and remind them of the responsibility they hold as well as how they are expected to act towards each other. If the situation was severe I would bring it up in the next LT meeting. If it was not I would still inform other LT members of situation.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
First of all I would prevent the staff member from breaking any further rules. I would then contact the staff member in question privately and ask them for the reasoning behind their rule breaks. I would ensure to bring this up in the next LT meeting as it is a serious situation. If this continues after i had spoke to them and they continue to break rules and harm users experience I would remove their powers until the situation can be discussed in the meeting.
