Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
I have learned once again the commands used in staffing as I haven't been a staff member in a while. Becoming a staff member in the past helped me mature as I took things a lot more seriously.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
There was a user ban evading and I had to message a super admin and CM to get him banned. There was also a user posting IP grabbers in the chat, in which I had to message a server owner to check chat logs.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Congratulations on becoming a Surf Moderator. The commands you can use are listed here, please do not abuse them in any way.
Kick - Use if a member is being extremely difficult and not co-operating.
Mute / Chat Mute - Use if a player is being disrespectful or racist etc.
Strip Weapons - Use if a player is spamming the AK / Shotgun or any other weapons.
Rapsheet - Use F6 to see player's punishments, this can be used in determining a punishment.
Family Sharing Check - Use this to see if a player is using a family shared account, it can be useful if the main account is banned.
These are commands available to you as a moderator. You will be trained soon by a lead team member!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
They would be unbanned as a kick should be in place considering its their first punishment for cheating according to this
policy.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I should be promoted because I am actually interested in helping the server. It gets repetitive however with different maps you can keep yourself entertained. Staffing with less commands is a problem as racism happens a lot and the most I can do to them is mute / kick. I would like to prove myself and regain the trust I once had within the community.
