Random Death Match - also known as RDM, random death match is the act of killing another player as an innocent without a valid reason to do so. such as a kos on that player (only ones called in the text chat).
a scenario of this would be,
player X exiting the nether just as the TnT mine cart has just been set off
then Player Y shooting Player X purely due to him exiting nether which would only be suspicious and you cannot kill on sus.
if Player Y only shot Player X but failed to do so because he was killed it would be an attempted RDM
but if he killed Player X it would be an RDM
3 examples of an acceptable KOS
the kos has to be the players full name and cannot be his skin or location. it alos has to be in text chat, voice chat KOS's are not valid to avoid loop holes due to there being no voice logs for players to view
-a player shoots another player and cannot justify a valid excuse for his actions, this would allow the player who was shot to call a KOS (kill on sight) because he has evidence that the player is a Traitor/RDM'er
-a player spots another player entering either traitor room, this is due to them being traitor exclusive making their innocence impossibly. however he cannot call a KOS on the players skin or his approximate location because there may be multiple players with the same skin/ in the specified location, so he has to call a kos on his full name (otherwise a similarly named player could potentially be false KOS'ed).
- if a player has been seen not identifying a body deliberately, for example if he kills a player (who you have to assume to be traitor before the body has been identified or has been avoided by a presumed traitor) and does not ID the body when it is clearly in his line of vision, you can KOS the player.
2 examples of an unacceptable KOS
-if the player is trying to bait players into entering the portal, although the portal could be trapped it cannot be proven that it was him who trapped it and may have a legitimate reason. even if a player dies as a result of entering the portal the player is only sus because as mentioned before it cannot be proven that he trapped the portal presuming no one has KOS'ed him in text chat prior to the situation.
-if a player is aiming at players at an unusual/ suspicious way (like aiming at a proven innocent or detectives head) he cannot be KOS'ed because this is only suspicious, he may not have witnessed the testing of the player or is suspicious of his activity or maybe just likes aiming at peoples heads either way it does not render him KOSable because you cannot kill on suspicion.
why i should be chosen-
i am usually on the server at times with no active or present staff member, this is peak rule breaking times on the server and sometimes makes serious play on the server difficult or impossible because players believe they will receive no repercussions for their actions. i also believe my activity is consistent and as i do not currently play any other servers it is likely to stay this way, i also only have 1 recent punishment from 1 week ago and only 2 in total possibly portraying a detailed knowledge of the rules and a serious attitude towards the server. i also would really like to educate newer players on the rules of the server because i know how confusing they can be, i also believe that i stay calm on the server and rarely get annoyed but it is hard to comment on this because it is my own actions and i am not entirely sure what my attitude comes across as to other members of the server. thank you,
and could you also specify any faults in my application/or myself
much thanks to
