Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
Well weird question for a returning staff member, but I guess I still know how to staff and would like to join the surf staff team back.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
I never really encountered any problems while staffing on surf.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
First of all I would welcome a new moderator to the staff team of the surf server and would then make them comfortable with the new commands he gets, that he can see when he presses on the name of a player on the scoreboard.
Kick - Kicks a player of the server
Mute Chat - Mutes them for the chat. Mainly used if someone is spamming, being racist or is disrespectful.
Family Sharing Check - Checks if a user is using a family shared acount and bans them if you do so. To easily check on the entire server type "/checksharing * 1" in chat.
Strip Weapons - Remove the weapons of a player. Mainly used if they keep spamming the gun
Mute Voice - Stops them from using voice chat. Mainly used if someone is mic spamming, being racist or is disrespectful.
Following to that I would tell them that you don't need to kick everyone instantly and instead of that a verbal often is enough, however if the user continues to do so afterwards you should mute voice / chat them and increase the time everytime if they don't stop until you feel a kick is appropiate.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Well first of all I should've not banned him for cheating anyway I guess, but I'll just asume admins should do that.
In that case I would
the appeal and give a good word or two to the staff member handling the appeal, since the user was apologetic and put effort into his appeal, hoping that he learnt from his mistakes and doesn't do it again.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I'm an ex super admin on surf and I just enjoy surfing and would love to vote with the staff team on new suggestions etc. My activity isn't too good yet and if you don't accept me this week I can totally understand it and will just reapply again next week.
oh and JimJam gave me permission
