Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
'Random Deathmatch' or more formally known as 'RDM' is a situation where a player kills another player without a valid reason.
There are 2 players, Player Z & Player X. Player X is a Hobo at the side of the street at spawn and Player Z is a random French gun dealer who joins the server for the first time.
Player X is sat in spawn with his hobo stand, player Z comes out of the Electric district and shoots Player Z dead without a reason. This is an example of 'Random Death Match'
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
'New Life Rule' is when a player dies in a district and then interacts with the district before their 3-minute timer is gone.
Player X kills Player Y during a Nuclear Launch in the rich district ( Player Y is a Hobo ) Player Y proceeds to then come back within 30 seconds of being killed by Player X trying to raid the nuke.
In this situation, Player Y is committing 'NLR' regardless if they changed to cop or they stayed as there previous job.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You are handling a report in which player A accuses player B of killing them for no reason in a report via the F1 system.
If I ran into this situation in-game, first before anything I would get both ends of the story to get an understanding of the situation and what to moving forward. I would then ask for a confession from player B if no proof of RDM was supplied via Player A.
If there is no evidence of said RDM i would ask in admin chat if any other staff witnessed the event. If there is no proof provided and no other staff member witnessed the RDM I would check the logs, to see if there was any indication that player B has RDMed player A, like NLR or a previous arrest.
If after all of my previous steps failed I would explain to the both of them that there is nothing I can do and part ways with the two. I would then monitor closely the accused player to see if they commit and rule break post sit.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You witness a user mass RDMing in spawn, killing many people constantly to the point where users are complaining.
If I was to witness a user mass RDMing in spawn, I would first swiftly freeze the player via the f1 menu and bring him to a non-RP zone (a rooftop) for a private with a private conversation with the user, trying to get their motives for the rule break they had just committed. After I had heard their story I would check there recent punishment to see if there was any mass RDM, or a significant amount of RDM punishment if so I would call for a higher up in admin chat to punish the user ( a ban or an extensive jail) If the user had no recent punishments I would warn them for mass RDM and or get an admin to put a 5-10 minute jail on them for mass RDM.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend a minimum of around 150 words):
I think I should be chosen for Moderator for many reasons, one being my love for the server and the community surrounding
it, me being a member of this community for over three years has really enlightened me and shown me the ins and outs of roleplaying and because of this I have stuck around and played it all these years and I am planning on doing the exact same thing until the day it shuts down. This means I will more than likely be active and be there to help and support other staff members and users alike.
Another reason I should be given the opportunity of SSRP moderator is my previous experience of staffing in this community
and so I know the right and wrongs of staffing, what to do to make the users experience as realistic as possible and as safe and friendly as can be, and thus creating a good experience for user encouraging them to re-join and become members of our fine community.
(Please set aside any personal grudges anyone reading this may have against me and actually read the appeal instead of dropping an instant minus support.)
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my application!
