How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
My time as an admin has been good. I've gotten to know most of the community through playing with them on the TTT server.
I have handle reports when on the server and try to be fair with my punishments and the way I handle reports. I would like to think of myself as a very friendly and approachable admin and always try and be on the server when people need me on the server. I get along with all TTT staff or at least I like to think I do. I have also gained knowledge and a better understanding of how to handle people on the server. I always take on criticism and try to improve myself as a Admin.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
Activity:
My activity on the server has declined to less than an hour in the recent weeks but this is due to me having other commitments like preparing for graduation and birthdays. But on a normal week my activity is stable with me having at least an hour a day. I try and have a stable activity and try and handle as many reports during my time on the server.
I have had time where users on the server have messaged me on steam that there are problems on the server, and I have always responded and come on the server to sort whatever issue there is.
Attitude:
My attitude on the server is always been good no matter what mode I am in real life. I feel like whenever I come on the server, I treat everyone equally and fairly. I like to think I have learnt how to handle other people with bad attitude and try to deescalate any hostility when there is any. I also like to consider myself as a mature staff and know when to be serious and when to have a joke. I personally have never had an issue with any of the staff members or any other community members.
Forum/TeamSpeak Activity
I would like to think my activity on the forums is good. I respond to most/all application on the forums with reasons why they should be accepted or why they should not. I also check the forums every day to make sure I am on top of whatever is going on the forums. I am also active with the suggestion sections trying to suggest new ways to make the server better. I also always look at the appeals and ban request that are to do with the TTT server so that I am always in the loop of what is going on the server (I have also handled a few of them myself). I am on Teamspeak a lot talking with other staff members or other community members. I am also active in voice chat in game for the people that aren't on the Teamspeak.
Experience :
I have held a super admin position on another TTT server a few years back, so I know what is required from a super admin position. I know how a super admin is meant to behave and who role he holds in the community. I know how to handle staffs and in what manner to handle them.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
I have had issues where I was messaged that there was an aimboter on the server. So, I tried to contact some LT members, but they were all busy. So, I decided to go on the server and see how bad the issue was and to gather some proof. When I arrived on the server, I noticed that hacker has been mass RDMing and he was given the punishment for it. I then got someone else to record the game and advised them to post it on the forums.
]Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
Hey _________
After carefully reviewing the evidence submitted on your report and with talking to other LT members and the staff in question, I have come to the outcome that you report has been accepted. The evidence provided show clear abuse and has broken our server ethos. The staff member will be brought up in out next LT meeting.
Thank you for submitting this report and we apologies on behalf of the staff member. Have a good day
Hey __________
After careful review of your report and with the evidence you have provided, I have come to the conclusion to deny the report. The evidence provided is not sufficient enough/ I do not see any rules broken on the server. For this instance I will be taking no actions against the staff in question.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
Firstly, I would check the Rapsheet of the user in question to see how many recent he has. If he has too many recent, I would check if he had a previous ban and if this ban is valid enough for the amount of time given. If i felt like it is I would contact the staff member and request them to get on TeamSpeak.
I would then ask him why he has given then ban and why for the excessive amount of time. I would then explain to the staff member that this amount of time is not necessary for the punishment and just explain to him/her that the ban was a bit excessive and explain to them how long you should have banned the user for. I would then keep an eye on that staff member to see if he has taken my advice into consideration or if he continues to ban for an excessive amount of time.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would ask the staff member to take the report into a chat box and join that chat box. I would monitor the situation and advice the staff member when it is required. After the chat box is done I would ask the staff member that if they ever need any advice that I am here to help them and if they have any question. I would then ask the staff member to come on teamspeak and would also advice that staff member on how to handle certain situation in an appropriate manner.
If it’s to do in voice chat, I would ask that staff in admin chat to ask what the problem is. I would then advice that certain staff member in admin chat on how best to handle the situation. If the situation escalates, I would get involved and try and sort it out with the best of my ability in accordance to the server ethos and server rules.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would handle the situation in accordance "Innocent until proven guilty". I would ask the accuser if he has any proof of this rule breaking. I would talk to the accuser taking down notes on the situation and asking if there were any other staff member present whilst he was breaking the rules. I would review the evidence and then ask the accused to come in a team speak channel with me so that we could chat about the situation at hand. I would then ask the accused his side of the story and see if it matches up. If it doesn't and the evidence show that he has broken the rules, I would confront the accused with my findings. I would then revert him back to the staff ethos and the server rules. I would end the situation with giving them a verbal warning depending on what rules he broke and how bad he broke them.
If the accuser has no evidence, I would tell him that I cannot do anything with some sort of proof that this person has broken the rule. I would keep an eye on the accuser whenever he is on to make sure he does follow the rules and ethos of the server.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
If the argument is in voice chat, I would request both staff members to come on Teamspeak so that we don't have to ruin voice chat for the other users on the server. I would explain to them that it is unacceptable to act in this manner as a staff member on the server. I would then ask them what the argument is about and listen to both sides of the argument. I would see if I could help solve this problem if it’s to do with the server. If it’s to do with the server I would try and solve it accordance. I would then ask both staff members to drop the issue at once and that it has been solved for now. I would then ask both players that they are part of the same staff team and that they are meant to be examples to the community. I would then inform the LT of what happened and how it was resolved and if any further actions need to be taken. I would also keep a close eye on both staff members to make sure they both behave.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
The staff member would be quickly force spectator and would be told to come into the Teamspeak. I would then ask him what he was doing on the server to that certain user and ask him why he was doing that to the users. I would then request him to go over the server rules with me in the Teamspeak to make sure he understands the rules and explain to him that he is a member of the staff team and that his actions also reflect on the server. I would explain to him as a staff member he is meant to be an example and that he should not be breaking the rules. I would then inform the LT about the situation and that I have had a talk with him regarding the situation. I would then give him an verbal warning for the situation (as it is a sever situation as he is harming other user) and explain to him if he wants to keep his staff rank that he needs to change. I would then keep an eye on him to make sure he does not carry on breaking the rules. If he was to break the rules again with a warning, I would be forced to emergency demote the staff member.
