Steam Name: Chespin Link to Steam Profile: Found here. Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:161928514 Gametracker: Found here. Estimated server time: 37 hours Languages I speak: English Promotion Related How my time as Moderator has contributed to me becoming an Admin: As there is a lack of players on the server as of late, I have waited until I have a week off of school so I can play the server more and get as much more experience as I feel I need. I have been moderator for well over a month now, so I am capable of dealing with those foolish enough to break the rules. Explain a situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command: The ban command would be reserved for mass rulebreaking, such as: 1) Multiple instances of racism, sexism or discrimination/disrespect of any kind, including web taunts, even after gags and/or mutes; 2) Multiple instances of micspam or chat spam, even after gags and/or mutes; 3) Repeated use of exploits or repeated bug abusing, even after warnings; 4) Repeated acts of ghosting, even after warnings. If I had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would I say to give them the full grasp?: Congratulations, welcome to the staff team! As you are aware you now have access to various commands, which you may be familiar with from elsewhere in the community, listed below: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] gag/mute: Disables target's mic/text indefinitely; tgag/tmute: Disables target's mic/text for a given amount of time; amute: Disables target's ability to type to admin chat indefinitely; webtauntmute/unwebtauntmute: Disables/enables the use of web taunts for a given amount of time; slay: Slays target; bring/goto: Brings target to you/sends you to target; teleport: Teleports target to where you are aiming; kick: Kicks target; fspec: Forces target into spectator mode; friends: Prints target's Steam friends currently connected to the server; forceteam: Forces target to join a specific team; checkspec: Checks who the target is spectating. Explain how I would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Hello Player x,
Why I should be promoted: I have over a month's worth of experience, and with other staffing roles at the admin level I feel I would make a great fit. I am already familiar with commands and having the ability to ban as well as what I already have would just make staffing a little bit simpler. After reading through your ban appeal I can see you have put a lot of effort into your ban appeal, and you really seem sorry for your previous actions leading to your ban. I am going to accept this appeal, however you should read through the rules just to make sure you are aware of what not to do so you can avoid it in the future. Welcome back to Prop Hunt! ![]() Extra information: I'm not sure what happened last week (31/5), I know I hit the activity requirement while playing, but got denied for not reaching it. Gametracker is actually terrible. Also I can't count, 2000/60 is in fact not 21, I lied in my last app.
Thank you for reading!
