Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
I have had the opportunity of being staff multiple times in Zarp, and would like to think I'm very experienced in most area's of being a staff member however, if I were to be moderator is has posed a problem for me in the past as they don't have access to the necessarily things as an Admin is, which make handling situations way more efficient, with banning, spectating etc.. Spectating would give me greater vision on what a user is doing so I can get full evidence of whether or not they're rulebreaking, then resort to other ways of punishing the player, this would save time and keep Zarp a cleaner place!
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
Crowded situations are very much a struggle as moderator, as it's hard to control a lot of people at once, as freezing people takes some time however, if I was admin it would greater reduce the time and thus reduce the amount of rulebreaking going on as I can just simply grab them and put them on a roof so we can chat, also I would have to provide evidence to admin's for a reason to ban them if needed which is very frustrating and also another reason why being administrator would be great so we can just remove the middle man and apply the man if necessary
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hi {User}, I would like to firstly say congratulations on becoming a part of the Zarp staff team, being a part of the staff team comes with a number of different tools to be able to deal with player's accordingly, I will now explain some of the tools that you will be needing to be able to progress forward and handle player's sits.
How to conduct yourself on Zarp Services
As a member of the staff team you want to conduct yourself professionally and helpful on all Zarp services as you're one of the people that represent this community, when you're in game you should be actively trying to help people that need help e.g. new players, or players that have issues, you generally should never be breaking rules or it could lead to warnings or even a demotion in extreme cases, you should always handle situations fairly and never let bias into situations even if the other person is your friend you shouldn't take their side just based of that, unless they have clear evidence of the thing they're claiming.
Weekly Staff Meetings
There are weekly staff meetings every Saturday, you should attend these if possible however, you don't have to unless you're going for administrator in which case you would have to attend at-least 2. At staff meetings, we all vote on the applications that we have received this week and you have the opportunity to share your thoughts on the players in question, do not be afraid to speak up in staff meetings, this is what they're here for.
Useful commands for Moderator's.
Kick:
This command allows you to kick an individual from the server, most commonly used when someone is refusing to delete props that need to be deleted or is AFK.
Back:
This command allows you to send an individual back to where they were before you teleported them, most commonly used to return people to a location after an F1
Goto:
This command allows you to "go to" a individual, most commonly used to go to someone that you need for an F1 situation.
Bring:
This command allows you to bring an individual, most commonly used if needing to bring someone F1 situation.
Freeze:
This command freezes the individual, so they cannot move, most commonly used to stop the individual from getting away from you and or breaking any other rules whilst you speak to him/her.
Teleport:
This command teleports you to a specific location, most commonly used to get to a rule breaker quick or to a roof top to do your F1, however this can also be used to teleport someone to where you want them to be teleported (where your crosshair is located)
Mute Globally:
This command mutes the individuals voice chat, most commonly used when someone is mic spamming, disrespecting and or being racist.
F6 Menu:
This shows everyone punishments, this can be used to find a user's punishments if deciding whether or not to give a verbal warning or an actual warning itself, you can search at the top right or you can click the drop down menu on the left to find someone that is in the server currently.
Admin Requests:
This shows players that are in need of assistance, with who is needing assistance, how long it has been there, the reason and who is handling it. To handle a situation you need to right click then select "Handle this", then you can proceed to goto and or bring the person. If someone is making random F1's e.g. trolling then you should Discard them and speak to the person about it.
Player Logs:
The player logs shows kills, job changes, money dropped, arrests, disconnects, connects etc... the logs are everything you need to find evidence of someone being killed and or arrested, this should ALWAYS be used if someone has made an F1 about an RDA or RDM, no matter whether they're telling you they have been killed or not you should always look at the logs, this shows the time between kills to define whether it could have possibly been NLR or not.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that another admin banned them permanently for prop-spam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I would first reply to the application indicating that I am handling this situation, I would then proceed to contact the staff member if he/she isn't busy so I can quickly speak to them and briefly run over the appeal and how we're going to go about responding to this, if we came to the conclusion that the ban may have been a little harsh then I would remove the ban and update the user on what has occurred.
Hi {user}, firstly, I would like to thank you for your appeal. Me and {staff member} have spoken about your ban in great detail and it's came to our attention that the ban was a little too harsh, the ban will be lifted however, please do not forget to re-read through the rules if possible before joining, if you need anything else don't be afraid to ask or make another appeal for something, I hope you have a great day and a great time on Zarp!
Why I should be promoted(we recommend around 150 words):
I think I should be promoted as I see myself as a experienced staff member within Zarp and recently I have seen that the server needs staff as a lot of situations I have seen within game are just not being handled, or are not being handled as they should, I have always enjoyed being Admin as dealing with F1's and generally helping people out is something that I enjoy to do, it adds another layer to Zarp in my opinion and is one of my favourite things to do within the server, even without the role of Admin I actively try to help new players out if they have any questions or things they need which I think makes me more approachable by new players especially if they see I have got Admin now, I do personally think I can be a good asset to the staff team again as I have a lot of time to spare currently and would love to help out in this area.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
