Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
Well not really sure what to write here? I am an ex admin and I know what I should do?
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
Well to be fair on surf I never actually had a problem I couldn't work around as moderator, however on TTT it was quite anoying when you had to get another admin online to get someone banned and the same problem could happen to me on surf when someones only intent is to ruin the gameplay for everyone else.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
First of all I would welcome a new moderator to the staff team of the surf server and would then make them comfortable with the new commands he gets, that he can see when he presses on the name of a player on the scoreboard.
Kick - Kicks a player of the server
Mute Chat - Mutes them for the chat. Mainly used if someone is spamming, being racist or is disrespectful.
Family Sharing Check - Checks if a user is using a family shared acount and bans them if you do so. To easily check on the entire server type "/checksharing * 1" in chat.
Strip Weapons - Remove the weapons of a player. Mainly used if they keep spamming the gun
Mute Voice - Stops them from using voice chat. Mainly used if someone is mic spamming, being racist or is disrespectful.
Following to that I would tell them that you don't need to kick everyone instantly and instead of that a verbal often is enough, however if the user continues to do so afterwards you should mute voice / chat them and increase the time everytime if they don't stop until you feel a kick is appropiate.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Well first of all I should've not banned him for cheating anyway I guess, but I'll just asume admins should do that.
In that case I would
the appeal and give a good word or two to the staff member handling the appeal, since the user was apologetic and put effort into his appeal, hoping that he learnt from his mistakes and doesn't do it again.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
Well I got my interest back into surfing and would love to support the server as admin again. I recently saw quite a fiew rulebreakers on the server and almost no staff. As I was admin before on surf, currently still hold the admin rank on TTT and am ex admin on Deathrun I would call myself quite experienced and would love to join the surf team again.
permission from Onionrings. Going to hope the meeting happens in the next month lol
