Translates to about 253 hours rounding up. Languages I speak: English Farsi French Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario: The term 'random death match' is a term typically associated with a random killing taking place, without the use of roleplay. A scenario could be a person building an RP house and trying to place some decorations. They leave the RP house to go pick up a paycheck. They have no weapons and are causing no threat to anyone around them. They are not being mugged or robbed and are not wanted. However, someone kills them for no reason. This action is typically referred to as RDM. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario: The 'new life rule' is a rule which states that a person must not go back to the place of their death for a certain period of time and must forget the events of their previous life. In Zarp, that time limit is 3 minutes of not going back into the same district. The person must also not seek revenge on this person as they're meant to forget the events which lead to their death. An example scenario would be during a raid. Someone is printing, gets raided and killed in the Warehouse District. They decide to go back there straight after their death. This would be breaking the NLR. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y of RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. In this situation, I would first ask for both sides of the story with both parties away from each other at different times. This way, I'd be able to get both sides of the story. I am typically good with analyzing situations and adapting my questions to pull the truth out of situations. This does not work on all people, however, so after getting their main stories, I'd ask either one of them if they were recording. Yes, the logs do show that player Y did, in fact, kill player X, but it could've been in self-defense or a raid. If no evidence is provided and the stories don't match up, I'd try to personally look for witnesses to see what their story is. If this doesn't match up, I'd let them both go with a verbal warning, but keep an eye on them for several minutes to make sure the incident isn't repeated. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. Like the previous scenario, I'd take all the same steps in trying to find out as much of the story as possible. If proof is provided, I'd act upon it. However, the kills being pretty close to one another does cause reason to believe that NLR had been broken. I'm not sure if the district of the kill is shown, but if it is, if the district the same for both kills, I would warn the offender. If the districts are different, it could mean that one player was seeking revenge, thus breaking the NLR rule, or, they were both involved in a separate RP scenario in a different area, which would mean that no rule was broken. This all depends on how the logs are presented and what, if any, evidence is provided. Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words): I've played this server for around 3 or so years now. I took a big gap in the middle. Coming back, I've realized how much it's changed. People that play it daily don't tend to notice small things that an older member would notice. People don't seem fair. The roleplay isn't as immersive. Some people may read this and say 'oh this person is insulting our work, why would we hire him?' Because if you can't take criticism, then you don't deserve to work in staff. People 'insulting' you are the ways to learn lessons best. By being in the team, I can help improve in small areas where higher ranking staff tend to miss and I can help improve relations between staff and members, as it's not where it could potentially be as of this moment. EXTRA NOTE: My activity this week has been low due to my finals. This is only for a short period of time. After these are complete, my activity will then increase back up to my normal amount. |

We recommend that Users have 2 weeks of consistent activity before applying. Your application is fine and You have no recent punishments so that's no issue. The meeting is tomorrow evening and I honestly think that this isn't your week.
Good luck nevertheless! |

Thanks for applying for staff at ZARP DarkRp! During our weekly staff meeting your application, question answers, game trackers and in-game warnings are checked and then the staff team votes on your application. This time, the staff team have decided that you still need to work on your application and then apply again next week. To try and help you they have summarised some positives & negatives discussed during the meeting: Poor Activity. You can apply again at any time, and thanks for supporting ZARP! |
