How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
I feel my time as a administrator has contributed to becoming a super admin because of multiple reasons.
Firstly, when I am on the server, I usually aim to handle as many F1's that I can (within reason), this allows me to build a stronger relationship with the users. This makes me a more approachable staff member and it would make users not intimidated when they may need my help with something.
Another reason is that I've got a strong knowledge about the rules of the server, what this means is that if a staff member would need help in a certain situation regarding the rules, I would be able to help them out to the best of my abilities.
Finally, I have been staff for nearly two months and I believe that is ample for me to understand all of the staff related things needed to progress onto becoming a super administrator.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
Same as before, I have a few reason to why I would be a good candidate for super administrator, they're as follows:
Transparency
I believe that my time as an administrator has allowed me to become more open when it comes to interacting with staff as well as users, this allows me to be more comfortable as well as build up better relationships when talking to other players whether it is staff related issues or general RP reasons. In my opinion transparency between lead team and staff/users would be a great asset because whenever a staff or player would need help, they would not feel intimidated in any way.
Activity
When it comes to activity, I play more or less every day which allows me to interact with players more frequently, as well as handle situations where a player has broken a rule but it was not reported. A lot of staff members have school and/or college work to do throughout the week, but I don't which allows me to be on the server when no other staff can, which greatly benefits the users who may need a staff, but they're busy with school.
Dedication
When it comes to my dedication on the server, I will relate this point to my F1's, on average I aim to get around 60+ f1's handled weekly, this shows that I have a high consistancy when it comes to reports and shows that I am dedicated to helping the server as much as I can with clear intentions of making it better or having any sort of positive impact on it.
Experience
As I previously said, I believe I have had ample time to learn everything staff related on SSRP and may I also remind some people that others do learn and pick things up at a different speed than others, my personal opinion is that I am ready for super admin and I have had over a month of experience that can back up my opinion.
Teamspeak
If a player was to get lead team on a server, they would be given the rank of teamspeak staff. This brings me to my next point. Regarding teamspeak, I am on it again nearly everyday, this would give players the option of poking me if I am not responsive in game. Teamspeak would be a easy way of accessing me and whenever I am on teamspeak, I am always mindful and respectful of others.
Relationship
I personally feel that I have a strong relationship with most if not all the staff members that I have interacted with as well as users. In my opinion, having a strong relationship with staff and users helps to lower the risk of disagreements that may lead to drama on the server, I also am working on my attitude towards certain players on the server to make sure I do not lash out at them like I have done previously, as I do later regret the things I say and the actions I may do, despite it only being a small amount of players, I will focus on bettering myself for that small amount.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
A while back, me and another staff member were spectating a guy who had been hacking. The player had called a admin to assist him, but instead admitted to cheating on the server, so then when I was cloaked and in noclip, I flew around to the player and instantly the player turns to his side and says "Hello Jamie, I can only see your steam name". My RP name is completely different to my steam name and also may I remind some of you that I was cloaked and noclipped. Considering no lead team was available at the time, I had kicked the player for cheating as well as admiting to cheating.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
There are numerous ways that I would go about handling a report abuse on a staff member and it would depend on how serious the situation that occured is.
But I will show in some brief bullet points how I would handle the report.
1) Obviously I would reply to the report notifying the player that I'll be handling the report.
2) I would carefully read through the post and review any proof that is shown in the report. If there is no proof, then I would ask the reporter over steam or on teamspeak if they have anymore proof that can aid the verdict.
3) After reviewing the report and getting all the proof needed, I would get into contact with the staff member via steam or teamspeak to speak to them about the report so that I can get their side of the story.
4) After talking with both the staff member and reporter if needed, I would review the report once more incase I missed any key information.
5) Finally, I would respond to the report with the verdict which would look something like this:
"After reviewing your report, I have came to the conclusion that the staff member was in the wrong and I will be talking to the staff member to make them aware of what they did wrong and how they can avoid it happening again. Also the staff member will be brought in the lead team meeting for any further punishments that the lead team seems is needed for the staff member.
Thank you for the report.
"
"After reviewing your report and talking to the staff member about what had happened, I have came to the conclusion of denying this report.
What the staff member did was completely within reason and did not violate any of our rules or policies.
No action will be taken against the staff member, if you have any further evidence that you believe can change the verdict, feel free to make another report abuse on the staff member.
"
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
Similar to handling a report abuse on a staff member, I would handle this situation in steps also and they're as follows:
1) I would check the rapsheet of the player that was recently banned to see if the ban was justifiable.
2) I would then try to contact the staff member via Steam, admin chat or teamspeak, so that we can discuss the lengthy ban.
3) I would listen to the staff members reasoning for banning the player for a large amount of time making sure that they go into clear and full detail so that I can try to understand.
4) I would then tell the staff member that the ban placed was too lengthy and was in no ways justifiable.
5) I would then advise the staff member to simply lower the ban duration, and I would monitor how the staff member deals with other reports on the server to ensure players are treat fairly.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
Similar to my previous explainations on how I would handle things, I would be handling them in steps and they're as follows:
1) I would get into contact with the staff member if possible through admin chat, but if the staff does not reposnd, I would try messaging them on steam or poking them on teamspeak.
2) After getting into contact with the staff member, I would ask them for the issue that they're struggling with.
3) If the staff member is still struggling, I would then coach them through handling the report, but I would not directly tell them how they should handle the report.
4) Once the report is handled, I would tell the staff member what they did right, wrong and how they can improve in the future whith handling reports. I would give the staff member multiple ways of contacting me or other staff members if they ever need help.
5) After having this discussion with the staff member, I would spectate them and see how they would the next report that they handle, and if the staff member improves, I would try and help them in the areas that they maybe lacking in as much as I possibly can.
6) Finally, I would notify once more, that the staff member can talk to other staff members incase they need help regarding a report, as well as different ways of getting into contact with staff members.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
Similar to my previous explainations on how I would handle things, I would be handling them in steps and they're as follows:
1) I would contact the staff member who accused the other staff member of breaking rules, via teamspeak, private message on the server or steam.
2) I would ask the staff member accusing the other for full detail of what happened, the rules that were broken, as well as any sort of proof that they can dig up.
3) After having the brief discussion, I would spectate the accused staff member being accused of breaking rules to see if I can catch him breaking a rule myself.
4) After spectating the accused staff member, I would get into contact with them via admin chat, steam or teamspeak, to discuss the situation that is happening and the rules that they had broken.
5) After having a long discussion with the accused staff member, I would make the decision on whether talking to the accused staff member is enough or being brought in the lead team meeting is necessary.
6) If being brought up in the meeting is needed, then I will notify the accused staff member that they will be brought up in the lead team meeting or just inform them that they're only going to be spoken to by myself.
7) After letting the accused staff member go, I would then spectate them some more to make sure that they do not break anymore rules on the server.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
Similar to my previous explainations on how I would handle things, I would be handling them in steps and they're as follows:
1) Firstly, I would tell all staff members involved to stop the argument, and the inform the main two who're arguing to join teamspeak so that I can get both their sides of the story.
2) Once I have heard the full story from both of the staff members, I would attempt to find out what initially caused the argument to spark, as well as if this was their first interaction, argument etc.
3) When talking to both the staff members I would stay neutral in the matter and informing both of them why they would be in the wrong or why they would be correct. Regardless, both of them are as guilty as each other for arguing instead of contacting a lead team member.
4) If this was their first interaction, I would inform them both to stay away from each other unless they need staff related help. This would allow the players to communicate about staff related issues, but it can gradually turn their staff talks in to some sort of positive mutual relationship.
5) Finally, after having a talk with both staff members and letting them both go, I would spectate them from time to time to see if any issues regarding both of them are occuring, or if they're getting along fine with each other.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?[/centre]
Similar to my previous explainations on how I would handle things, I would be handling them in steps and they're as follows:
1) Firstly, I would teleport to the staff member and freeze him so that no other players are affected.
2) I would then teleport the staff member to a roof so that he is out of the way and players can freely RP.
3) I would then ask the staff member to join me on teamspeak, if the staff member cannot, I would discuss the situation that has occured on the roof.
4) I would firstly ask the staff member what his reasoning is for breaking rules on the server are and for them to go into as much detail as they can.
5) After listening to what the staff member had to say, I would then inform him that he should not be breaking rules as a staff member intentionally and excessively, and that they should always be aware of what they do to avoid this.
6) I would notify the staff member that their actions were completely uncalled for and that they will be brought up in the lead team meeting for any further punishments.
7) After letting the staff member go, I would spectate them or go undercover to keep an eye on them to see how they will act after having a talk with me.
Thank you for reading my application and constructive critisim on how I can improve in proper detail would be great to see.
