Steam Name:
Prosyndicate475 Time Zone: GMT +0 Link to Steam Profile: steamcommunity.com/id/Prosyndicate475/ What server are you applying for? Prop Hunt Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:121200822 Current Game Tracker Profiles: I don’t like gametracker as it doesn’t show all my time so click here! Estimated Server Time: ~67 hours Languages I speak: English, Spanish and I have also found that Google Translate is very useful Promotion Related How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator: I have been staff for 5 months, accepted on 29/6/18, on Prop Hunt which I think is sufficient time to understand what is required of my role as an admin. I have a very good understanding of the rules of the server which has helped me in different situations with players. Also, during my time as admin I have become very familiar with the commands of the server and when I should use them. As a member of Lead Team I think that I could help the other members of staff who aren’t as competent with the commands and help train new members of staff on how to use the commands. What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want): Activity I am on the server whenever I can. This means that I can look for ghosters and cheaters a lot, to report to lead team members, and give out punishments where necessary. My activity has helped me improve how I handle different situations and helped me not give out false punishments. I may not have the most consistent activity out of all the staff members as quite a few times when I join the server there is no one else online which doesn’t make me want to stay online for a long period of time but when there are more players I do tend to stay on for 30mins – 1 hour. Meetings I have attended most meetings since I was voted in as a moderator. On every application, I try to add anything to what has already been said to ensure that all of the staff members voting on the player know as much as possible on the player which may change the way in which they would vote. Forum and TS I am very active on the forums and on TeamSpeak. On every application on the forums for Prop Hunt, I mention what is good and what could be improved on about their activity, the detail they put in their application, and how they interact with other players and staff member in game. Also, I look through reports and appeals to any punishments that are related to Prop Hunt. I am on TeamSpeak every time that I am in the game so that I am easy to contact if any staff member requires help. Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member, but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available: There was a time when a player was getting an unusual amount of kills in the game so I thought he may be ghosting/cheating. I did a friends check on him and it said that he didn’t have one on the server at the time. I attempted to get a member of LT on to verify that they were cheating but I was unable to get hold of one. If I had been a Super Admin in this position I would’ve been able to verify whether they were cheating and punished them accordingly. Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member: I would first look over all of the evidence that was provided. Then I would get the staff member on TS and get their side of the story. If I felt that there was either sufficient evidence or the staff member admitted to wrongdoing then I would reply: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Dear player X, after reviewing the evidence that you have provided and talking to the staff I have concluded that the staff member was abusing his powers. I have had a chat with the staff member and have made sure that he knows to not do it again. Thank you for reporting this incident and if anything occurs again please feel free to report it again. If there wasn’t sufficient evidence and the staff member denied any wrongdoing I would reply: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Dear player x, after reviewing your report I have decided to deny this report as the staff member has told me a different story about what happened and you haven’t provided any evidence to contradict this. If you think that this is incorrect, please gather more evidence against staff Y and make another report. No further action will be taken. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly? I would first review the length of the ban and the user’s rapsheet and see if the ban length that had been given out fitted with the user’s recent punishments and the rule broken. If I believed that the ban length was too long I would contact the staff member and ask for his perspective on the ban (why he thought that it should be this length). If after getting their point of view I believed that the ban was too long I would tell them that I would be lowering it down to an appropriate length and would explain to him what length of a ban should be given for different punishments. Lastly, I would get in contact with the user that was banned and tell him that it had been lowered down to an appropriate length and if anything like this happened again they should message me immediately. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation? I would first see if I could get the member of staff on TS to talk to them about how to handle the situation. If they were unable to then I would message them on steam. I would first tell them to stay calm when dealing with users, even when they are trying to annoy you. Then, I would look at the rule that has been broken by the user and help the staff member understand how to best handle the situation. After speaking with the staff member I would make sure that the situation is handled as I had told them and if after my chat the situation still isn’t resolved then I would handle it. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation? I would first speak to the accusing staff member to see if they had any evidence to support their claim. If they didn’t then I would spectate the accused staff member to see if they broke any rules. If they did, then I would speak to the staff member and see if they admitted to any wrongdoing. Then, if the staff member admitted to breaking the rules, I would give them a copy of the staff ethos here! In the event of the staff member not admitting to any wrongdoing when I have evidence I would bring it up at the Lead Team meeting. Lastly, I would tell the accusing staff member that I spoke to the staff member and, if they didn’t admit to wrongdoing, they would be brought up in the Lead Team meeting Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation? I would first get the staff member that is being disrespectful onto TS and remind them that their behaviour isn’t at the standard that it should be as a staff member. I would also send them the staff ethos, found here for them to read over again so they know what is expected of them. Then, if the situation doesn’t get any better, I would tell the two staff members not to play at the same time. Lastly, if I found that the staff member that was disrespectful continuing with his previous behaviour then I would bring them up at the lead team meeting for an official warning or, if I believe that it is getting very out of hand, bring them up for a demotion. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member? I would first speak to any users that have been harmed by the staff member’s actions and see what they had done. Then I would get the staff member onto TS and remind them that we, as staff, are supposed to be a role model for the players and also I would remind them of the staff ethos. If the staff member, after I had spoken to them, didn’t improve their behaviour I would bring them up at the lead team meeting for more action to be taken Thank you for reading! |
