Introduction
Obviously, a quick introduction is in order. Hello, my name is Rick. I've been playing on the SSRP servers ever since 2015. It's been a great time and I'd have to say my time as a staff has been the best overall. I've been a staff member for four months total, of which more than half has been spent as a Super Admin. I'm a good boy and I have never gotten in trouble for anything - even as a user I always followed the rules, as evident by my last punishment being three years ago. Now that's some necessary information out of the way, what are some things about myself that may contribute towards being a Head Admin? Firstly, I'd say that I'm a very analytical, rational and objective person. In fact, people have on numerous occasions told me this. Those traits are very good when discussing things in the lead team meetings, and will also produce the best results.
Overall, I believe when all things are put together - from a perspective of personality and attitude - I am very fit for the position. But there's way more to it, obviously, and I'll get to that now — for instance, leadership, experience, activity, and dedication. I suppose I'll start with my leadership.
Leadership
I've always been a strong leader, and I've continuously gone out of my way to help people better themselves. Even as a moderator I found myself to be approached by administrators and such asking for advice and help on being a better staff member. Needless to say, there's more to being a leader as an SA so I'll go a little into detail about that too. I'm approached daily by numerous people and I will do my best to respond unless my timezone doesn't allow for proper communication, in which case I'll redirect the user to someone else. I've always been a go-to SA for a lot of people and I'd like to think it's because of my approachability, leadership, and help. I have a few staff members that contact me every other day - and some that contact me more often for help and advice, users also contact me every day but that isn't relevant to my leadership. The staff members that do contact me end up doing a visibly better job when I view their future actions, and overall I'd say I'm a great leader in-so-far as help and advice goes.
As for F1s, I'm very efficient in getting the train rolling. If a staff member is not doing F1s, I go to whichever length is necessary to encourage them to do F1s. Some of my strategies are rather extreme but work out in the end. I'll sometimes accompany the other staff members if they feel like they're the only one doing F1s at the moment. I always try to encourage staff to handle situations outside of F1s as well, so those situations get handled too.
Experience
Being one of the longest standing Super Admins, I have gathered a lot of experience as a lead team member and as a staff member in general. I know my way around lead team situations and I believe I'm fully ready for a Head Admin position. I've expressed my experience through passing on the knowledge I've gained to our newest Super Administrator. All in all, I'm without a doubt in a good position in terms of experience.
Goals
I have a few goals in mind, some of which I hope to execute as fast as possible when I get my Head Admin position. Others that'll have to wait but I hope to do in the foreseeable future.
I'll start off simple;
keeping the lead team clean. As much as I believe this isn't a huge issue right now, it might become an issue in the future and that is when I will try my best to do something about it. It's common sense that a corrupt lead team member never leads to anything good, and will give a huge upper hand to their friends and companions and unjustly punish people they dislike. For instance, if a lead team member holds a grudge against a certain staff member, they may try to have their rank removed through the most illegitimate means possible. As a head administrator, I want to investigate this further than I will be able to as a lead team member of the same rank. I want to make sure corruption is minimized so that everyone will have a fair and equal shot at the same things.
Additionally, I want to further work on some goals that may be easier to accomplish with a higher authority. Such as establishing better contact between the lead team and staff members; being more transparent and generally maintaining stronger communication between all parts of the lead team and staff team. Although I'm actively talking to staff members I have encountered times where they have felt cut off from the lead team and I wish to change that on a global lead team basis.
Lastly, I'd like to go out of my way to buy EMP a treadmill so he can finally lose some weight. At last, I want to focus on a very simple thing which is shaping the staff members - and lead team alike - to become the best version of themselves, staff-wise and just in general. For instance, I'm going to try my best to create plans to better encourage good staffing and frequently doing F1s, and for lead team members I want to reward excellence and those who truly go the furthest to help staff- and community members. I have some ideas in mind, but I'm going to work more on them before I propose them.
Thank you for reading my application. All feedback is appreciated as long as it is constructive.
