Find some info below as to why I believe I am a good candidate:
TRAITS AND ABILITIES
As part of my induction to my job two years ago, I underwent a Insights Discovery test (read about it here). The purpose of the test is to determine your work style and strengths that would be supplied to your team.
At the core of the test, lies four colours: red, blue, green and yellow. Each represent their own work style. i.e., red means you are forward looking and a quick thinker whereas, blue means you are a keen observer and take time before you make any decisions.
To summarise the 20 page booklet I received on my profile, here are my key strengths:
- Able to deal with complex problems
- Remains calm and collected when under pressure
- Prefers a "hands on" approach to problem solving
- Painstaking; conscientious; industrious and dependable
- Always in tough with myself and with the world
- Adaptable and realistic
- Feet are 'firmly on the ground' (appropriately pessimistic)
- Pays great attention to detail
- Understands and respects underlying principles
- Diplomatic when the situation demands it
Conversely, here are some of my potential weaknesses:
- May not respond well to sudden change
- Sometimes unwilling to express even important ideas or insights
- May unintentionally hurt others with criticism
- Has difficulty completing unstructured tasks
- May jeopardise deadlines in favour of searching for accuracy
- Takes things too seriously
- Avoids the company of those unlike him
- Sometimes inflexible in foreign situations
- Modesty or reticence may prevent timely interventions
- Tends to avoid social interaction
PERSONALITY
I feel an effective summary of my personality would be the following:
- Humorous
- Helpful
- Selfless
- Diplomatic
- Truthful
EXPERIENCE
I was previously a forum section moderator for the TTT section back when I was a Head Admin for the server. I'm already very familiar with the TOU and I usually report posts/topics that violate the TOU with the built-in report button (although I don't even think those are used lol). I'm also not a shitpost machine that's desperate for that big post number on my profile
I have recently acquired forum section moderator of General Discussion section. This has been a great opportunity to re-familiarise myself with the features that are available to moderators and when to use them. I feel I have met expectations (at least nobody has came to me and said otherwise) and I'm determined to have another section under my belt. The handy thing about for this section in particular is it makes it easier for the Prophunt lead team to update pinned topics such as the map list, staff list and even changelogs. Bear in mind, I'm not saying that because I'm a head admin for prophunt that means I automatically deserve the position - that is not the case at all. However, in my opinion it proves advantageous as I have a clear communication channel with other lead team members to make changes/updates when required.
MY GOALS
Since my return to ZARP I have been inspired to rejoin the ranks of the staff team. I have climbed to the rank of Head Admin on Prophunt (which has also bestowed the rank of Teamspeak staff unto me). I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this community and strive to make it a better place in the areas that I have the opportunity to do so.
I aim to deliver a dependable, unbiased and high-quality service to the members of the community initially by moderating a section or two on the ZARP forums. Some day I can hopefully progress onto the rank of global moderator where I think I would sit comfortably for a while.
