Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Random Death Match, or short "RDM" is the act of engaging a deathmatch fight without any valid roleplay reason.
Example 1:
Martin recognises a player with a Nano Suit and kills him because he's envious.
Envy is no valid RP reason -> RDM
Example 2:
After raiding the PD Chris runs towards spawn while he's wanted.
An Officer approaches him and pulls out his Arrest Baton and continues to run after Chris for a minute.
Chris proceeds to kill the Officer.
That wasn't RDM, the Officer attempted to arrest Chris for more more than 30s.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
The „new Life Rule“ (or in short „NLR“) applies after valid RP – deaths.
It forces the player to act as if he forgot everything from his past life, means that any actions regarding his past life are forbidden.
To prevent this the NLR – Rule also restricts you from going back to your scene of death for 3 minutes.
Exceptions are PD, Nuke and Bank raids.
Example 1:
Stephen successfully raided a base, at the cost of Timmys death.
Timmy angrily returns to the base within a minute and kills Stephen.
That would've been NLR. He is not allowed to return to his district of death within 3 minutes.
Example 2:
Denis was just RDM'ed by a Stranger. Denis lost his Health Charger there. He submits a Report via the F1 Menu and returns to his scene of death to pick up his Charger.
That would't have been NLR, since his reason of death wasn't valid.
Example 3:
Marc died during a valid police raid.
After his death, Marc runs up to one of the Officers and insults him for raiding his base.
That would've been NLR, Marc is supposed to act as if he can't remember anything from his past life.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
After bringing the reporter to a calm place I ask him for an explanation, and make sure the story could be true by checking all log entries available. After that I proceed the same way with the accused player.
If the accused player admits the RDM and has a clear rapsheet i leave him with a verbal warning and ask him to read the rules.
If he denies the RDM I ask player x for evidence, if he has valid evidence I tell the accused about the evidence, why I'll punish him (most likely a warning, depends on his rapsheet) and to read the rules.
If there is no valid evidence available I have to end the sit. I would try to keep an eye on the reported player though.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
Similar procedure, I ask for their story and make sure the story could be true.
In this case the accused player has to explain why he killed the reporter shortly after being killed.
If he can't bring up a proper explanation (could be that the reporter RDM'ed) I'd give him a punishment depending on his rapsheet. As before, I ask him to read the rules.
Why I should be chosen :
After a pause i feel ready for the position again, I have more time and motivation than ever.
I am active on the forums, aswell as ingame.
My rapsheet is clear aswell.
I've been around on RP servers for a long time and have a lot of experience:
I first played DarkRP on Zarp in March 2013. To be honest I didn't like the server much back then, so I went to other servers. I was Admin on "Urban Gamers" aswell as on „Crystal Gaming“ (later on „Final Fusion RP“), nowadays it's called „Civil Gamers“ and is fairly well known. I was Co-Owner of a DarkRP and WW2RP Server (with my brother), I did the Community Management. After a big pause I became Admin on „Hyplex.co“. Then came back to Zarp roughly a year ago and became moderator. I think i did a good job as long as it lasted, i attended nearly every meeting and had a decent F1 count. I liked the time but had less and less time for it due to school. I see myself in a hard position sometimes, due to my autism moderating, talking, interacting are not my strengths in reallife, but it also comes with perfectionism and a love for rules and a good sense for fairness. Roleplaying and moderating helps me and others, and I'd like to expand it from roleplaying to moderating again.
Thanks for reading!
