Estimated Server Time: 80 hours since I got my new PC a year ago or so.
Languages I speak: Fluent English and decent Spanish.
Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin: My time as a moderator has been spent dealing with only few rulebreakers. On other servers, such as deathrun, surf and (soon to be prophunt), I've had to deal with a lot more misbehavior and I've been successful with that. However, on bhop the majority of rulebreaking is beyond my ability to deal with. For example, LTAP and racism. I feel that throughout my time as moderator I have been insufficient and I believe going for admin will rectify this.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user): I've had to deal with a person who was loopholing. I warned and muted them, at which point they rejoined. I would've banned them for 2 or 3 days if I had the power to, but I had to instead mute them again and warn them for LTAP. Situations like these are where I feel being an admin would be much more useful and satisfying.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?: First of all, I'd explain how to use the following commands by clicking on a name on the tab menu and seleting the corresponding punishment as well as when to use said punishments. Mute being used for disrespect and discrimination. Gag being used for disrespect, discrimination and mic spam. Strip weapons being used if a player is weapon spamming. Silent spectate being used if you believe a player to be cheating or exploiting and finally Kick being used rarely if a player refuses to change a racist username. I would explain the concept of verbal warnings, giving players chance to stop whatever rule they're breaking. I would explain the !warn and F6 menus respectively, being used to warn players and check rapsheets. Finally, I'd explain staff ethos (always maintaining a professional attitude to punishment and the server) and trying to deal with situations impartially.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I would first check their ban date, and if it was very recent, I would take into consideration the possibility of them hacking again, giving them a lower chance of being unbanned. I would read their appeal and check to see if their version of the story matched mine, and if it did and they did truly seem remorseful, I would unban them. I would watch over them myself and ask the other staff members to do the same while I was offline. If they showed signs of hacking again or mass rulebreaking, I would give them a lengthier ban than would normally be called for if they were to be banned.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words): I have experience as staff, notably being staff on 4 servers and admin on deathrun. I first applied for staff in the form of bhop moderator, and since then I have always tried to be active on bhop when others aren't. My time as a moderator on bhop has been spent looking up to admins and doing my best to imitate them. I feel it is finally time for me to try and be a role model to moderators and users as others have to me. While moderator, I have had to deal with a wide variety of situations from LTAP and loophole homophobia and racism to gamemode exploits. I've had limited power and have not been able to fully punish those breaking major rules, much to my annoyance.
