Steam Name:
XyroGod
Forum Name:
XyroGod
What server(s) are you active on?:
I am mainly active on Prophunt, but sometimes check out other servers like Surf and Bhop (rarely TTT, Jailbreak or DarkRP), and I am Prophunt Moderator. (Currently applying for Prophunt Admin)
I am From:
Germany
Time spent with ZARP Gaming?:
About 19000 minutes on Prophunt, I assume if I count in all other servers about 19500 minutes.
How often do you come on the forums:
I visit the multiple times over the day as Zarp is currently my main activity and always like to check out new threads and replies to some of mine. I will specify this in my "Activity" section further on.
Why You?:
First Words
First off, thank you for reading this application. I am writing it to become a Moderator to the Appeal Section. I would start off by saying that for starters, I have read the Terms of Use multiple times and would know how to act on the different issues that could come up in a section.
Activity
As mentioned earlier, I am very active on both the forums ingame and visit them multiple times during the day, except for college(most of the time) or sleeping I visit them I would say at least once every hour. And I believe that for a Section Moderator for the Appeal Section this would be sufficient.
I have mainly been active in the Appeal Section by reading and rarely post, but I believe this is still sufficient as I well know the ToS.
Why become Forum Section Moderator at all?
I feel that as a Section Moderator, I could reduce the work of our always working forum admins and global moderators. I would note myself that the Appeal Section might not be the most important one, but maybe it is because of that that I find myself even more inclined to apply for this section mod. It all starts small, and I think that although my work might not be that significant compared to the other forum staff, I could still reduce the amount of work and if you look at the bigger picture, it would definitely have an impact.
Aside from that, what I am working in college coincides alot with the importancy of privacy and "data encapsulation" (hope thats the actual word, had to translate it from german), so I come to a great understanding over all those rules of privacy.
Also as far as I understand this is the first step needed for becoming a Global Moderator, and maybe I will decide in the future that I want to apply for this position as well. You have to start somewhere.
Staffing experience
I am a staff person, if you know what I mean by that. On most of the servers that I have decided to be my main communities, I had become staff, and as such I have a wide variety of experiences. I know how to keep my cool and handle situations without being disrespectful. I am a quick responder and I do not hesitate to ask for help if I need to do so. I would say for myself that my Empathy is one of my biggest skills not only in games, but in life, and I think this could be of help here.
On Zarp, I am currently a Prophunt Moderator, and strive to become more in the future. I think that becoming a Section Mod could further improve my experience and make me a better Staff member overall, which is one of the reasons of applying.
My Staffing experience of over a year in a lead position on other servers made me learn a lot of things and improve myself alot, and I would love to improve myself even further. I know that you can always get better somehow. I learned how to be strict in a way that it doesnt come over as disrespectful. I am never bias, and I would never hesitate to punish friends of mine.
Communication
I like to communicate with people, and motivate them to try new things. I am never disrespectful or anything of the sort, and I never lose my cool. Even if I were to lose my cool, I would keep that to myself. I don't like drama and like to prevent it for the most part. Overall, I love communicating with others and I believe that this is an important skill to have for an application such as forum moderation, even if it is just for a section.
In General I would say that I have a pretty good forum activity and I believe I would be capable of this position for a section. I would like to reduce the amount of stress that comes upon forum staff and could be of help even more to the server.
What I would do as an Appeal Section Moderator
If I were to be accepted, my main job would of course to reduce the workload of the forum staff and the other section mod(s). The most simple jobs would be things such as locking threads that were not locked yet, but would reach through removing posts that would break the Terms of Service or watching posts that had been reported to the section and forum mods and checking if they are breaking the ToS.
Last Words
Thank you all for reading my Appeal Section Forum Mod application. I would love to get feedback or criticism, no matter if positive or negative, because only then it is that I can really improve myself. Thank you for reading!
I'd like to note that the main issue considering activity may be that the only few prophunt appeals come in at all a month, and if they do they get handled instantly by Kyber, and I do not respond to SSRP Appeals usually.
Revoking this because after all the feedback I understand it doesn't really make sense for me to apply for the appeal section currently.
The End!
