Explain how you feel that your time as a Moderator will contribute to you becoming an Admin:
I've kept my time every week, and had my fair share of suspected ghosters. The biggest issue I've had on the server is a certain player being particularly disrespectful, an appeal was later posted about it which you can find
here.
Explain a situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
A player says a racist slur in the voice chat, I promptly tgag them for said racism (5 minutes). After the tgag has run out, and the player can speak again, he screams another obscene racist slur. I then ban the user for three days for racism.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
First of all, congratulations on becoming a moderator! Welcome to the Zarp staff team.
The main commands you'll be using are tgag and tmute. When a player is being obscene or spamming in either the voice or text chat, use these to stop the player for atleast five minutes (the first time). After the gag/mute has finished, if the player continues to be inappropriate in either the text/voice chat, double the previous gag/mute time and warn them for whichever rule they may be breaking, call for an admin to come online so further action can be taken using the discord.
The others command are self-explanatory, however, if you think someone is ghosting, don't take action. Call for an SA+ to come online.
Have fun staffing!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I'd check in with the staff that actually banned them, asking about their attitude before they were banned. Assuming I get a negative response I would ask an SA+ if it would be appropriate to shorten the permanent ban, down to say two more weeks so they can play again.
This is all assuming the player had already served atleast a two months of their permanent ban. The response:
"Hello Player X, after reviewing your appeal and other important aspects, I have decided to remove you permanent ban and will instead shorten it to just two more weeks.
This appeal has been
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I don't want to stay a moderator on this server, whilst I'm not currently motivated to become an SA in the near future, I do still want, however, to be further from the bottom of the staff ranking.
