How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
I have learned many things as Admin for example I have improved on handling in-game reports, learned how to handle forum reports, helped with filling out the weekly staff spreadsheet for the meeting and done polls once.
I also would've done a training under the supervision of Dodo but sadly both opportunitys were stolen by some Luki guy.. tzh. (</3)
Edit: I have trained our newest Moderator ClickToTry under the supervision of Johnler today. *yay*
Just want to mention here that I have attended every meeting that occured during my time as a staff member as well
and think that I contributed to the outcome of votings as much as I could.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team?:
Well to be honest I don't know if I'm a good candidate and I'll leave it to others to judge that but I have some strong abilitys.
For example I've got a good amount of experience when it comes to leading a team.
The reason for that is that I've been a lead team member of a medic team in Arma 3 in the gamemode Altis Life for over a year and a half.
The team consisted of around 40 total members at peak times and I've held the second highest position there.
My responsibilitys were to manage all of the ranks below me, vote on pro- and demotions, advise them on what to do in difficult situations, I've trained new members and have
written reviews on how they did every two weeks so I had to keep an eye on every of them which I think I did good at.. or at least nobody complained that something I said wasn't true.
So as you can see I have done many things that I'd have to do as a SuperAdmin already in the past. Just that it was another game.
Speaking about reviews and giving opinions on other people: I think that this is an important skill to have as a LT member and I think I got that plus I think that I'm a person you can always approach if there are any issues regarding anything related to TTT or even other stuff.
I'm also active on discord, the forums, and have trained a Moderator, gues those are some more points in my favour.
Another reason why I want to become a Super Admin is that I'm still headed to become a Server Dev for TTT in the future and I hope that holding the rank of a SA will allow me to have better chances in that regard.
I have contributed to some extend in Dev related things by showing how to get some more radio binds, fixing the missing texture on the T tester, implementing new HUD options and fixing a bug regarding the Contender weapon.
I'm not an expert coder by any means but I'm willing to learn new things and I find enjoyment in resolving issues altough it can be a pain and cause some headache at some times.
You may ask yourself: well why would somebody take that headache into account? Because at the end of the day when you finally managed to get something done you can feel proud of yourself and most important you did contribute to a bugfree and more enjoyable environment for everybody
which unlike handling reports and general staffing (which is of course at least as important) will be contributing on a permanent base and not only on a temporary base. I hope that this kinda makes sense to you and you got what I was trying to say. '^^
Something about my activity:
I can get on the server on a normal workday for around 1-2 hours a day, if I'm at school or its weekend then more than 2h are possible.
Now some downsides of me
I've had an abuse report accepted against me which is going to be 4 weeks ago at the time of this weeks meeting. Read more about that
here.
Altough I have improved on it already, I guess I still have to improve on my general TeamSpeak activity and show up there more often.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
When I encountered the situation were I punished someone for ghosting I obviously was in the wrong and required the help of LT to get on the right track but if I encounter this situation I now know what to do.
A second thing I encountered was a cheater on the server which I couldn't do much about but DrConor came to help us out and catch him.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
Welp, I could just make the answer to this question very short and be lazy af by refering to the
Report Abuse policy, saying that I'll follow it and leave it at that but I guess I could get more into detail:
First of I'll make sure that the template is there and was filled in correctly and completly. If those things do not apply I'd advise the user to use the template and fill it out and set a time limit in which they should do it.
If the above mentioned points are true I'd proceed to read through the whole post and take a close look at all the evidence provided (if any).
I'd then move on to getting into contact with the staff member in question and the user who made the report and ask other, maybe more experienced LT members about their opinion if deemed necessary.
After all of this is done and I have carefully thought about it I'll come up with my verdict which could look like the following examples with some different scenarios depending on the RA reason...
Hello "User"!
Thank you for taking the time to make this report.
It is good to see that you want things to go fair on our server.
After speaking to the staff member and reviewing your report I have decided to accept your report.
I have advised the staff member on how to deal with these kind of situations in the future and he promised that this mistake won't happen again.
Your punishment will be removed, however no further actions will be taken against the staff member.
or
I have advised the staff member to not violate any more of our server rules and he will be brought up on the next TTT Lead Team meeting to decide wether or not a further punishment on said staff member is required.

Hello "User"!
Thank you for taking the time to make this report.
It is good to see that you want things to go fair on our server.
After speaking to the staff member about the situation and reviewing your report I decided do deny this report.
The staff member was in his right to punish you/did not break any rules/did not violate the staff ethos (...)
No further actions will be taken.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I'd ask the staff member in question why he thought it was appropriate to ban a user for a certaint amount of time and if I deem his or her reasoning invalid I'd teach them how to improve on handling these situations.
I'd then tell them to shorten or lift the ban.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would advise them on what they could/should try to do with the user or even tell them to leave it to me if the situation requires it, like when both of them start insulting them for example.
The question is hard to answer 'in detail' tbh since the scenario is pretty vague but thats what "how would you resolve it" is depending on.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
Without any evidence there isn't much to do other than to try to calm both of them down, maybe telling them to go off the server for today, sleep a night over it and try resolving the situation next day in teamspeak when everybody
is a bit more calm. Why am I saying that? Because from my experience if there are only accusations its due to a grudge that they're holding against each other and a talk on the same day won't resolve anything and may even worsen the relationship between them.
If there is valid evidence however I'd bring the staff member in question up on the next LT meeting.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and/or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
I'd basically do the same things I mentioned in the answer aboth to be honest.
I'd try to calm them down and try to speak to both of them, asking if there was a reason for insulting the other person (which doesn't excuse what he did but I'd ask anyway) and basically trying to get them to a point were they can get along together again.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I'd tell the staff member in question to stop his actions immediately and if the user experience has been harmed I'd bring him up on the next LT meeting.
If he doesn't stop with what he is doing (abusing commands for example) I'd make a HA or above aware of it and ask if he deems an emergency demotion necessary and basically leave it to him at that point as I can't do anything else if the staff member
in question is SA or above. If he is below SA I'd carry out whatever the HA says (revoking their powers for example).
Well yea, that was basically it for this time. Thank you to everyone who got this far and thank you to the guys who helped me with the application. ~
Ha, nobody can complain about the green this week.
