How would you handle a TS3 appeal?:
Firstly, I would say that I am handling the appeal and then look at any evidence provided and the story they put. I would then contact the TeamSpeak Staff/TeamSpeak HA involved and incline what happened that ended in the ban. After looking at the evidence and provided a story with the staff member, I will make my decision with the TeamSpeak Staff Member and decide if they are worth to give another chance - accepting the appeal- or denying it if they need more time to think over what they did.
Explain some of the administrative features of TS3 and when they're used
appropriately:
There are a lot of Administrative Features of TS3. I will explain some them in my greatest ability:
Set Server Group - Set server group allows the staff member to issue a specified group to a user. This is used when a staff member gets accepted for a position as a moderator or promoted. An example of this is an SSRP Moderator getting accepted for Admin. When the staff member trains them on the TeamSpeak, they can issue the SSRP Administrator group to show they are an admin on SSRP.
Kick Client from Channel/Server - Kick client from channel is similar to a verbal warning, a user in Chat Room 1 mic spamming may be kicked back to Lobby/AFK Room to warn them not to do it again. If they come back and do it again, the TeamSpeak staff member may Kick client from server. If they do so again can lead to a ban.
Ban Client - Ban client is kicking a user off the TeamSpeak for a set time or in some cases: a Permanent Ban. A user in Chat Room 1 coming over and over from kicks can then result in a ban for a set time. Etc: 1 day. This is also sometimes used in extreme cases of a permanent ban where they won't be able to rejoin the TS until they appeal it and it gets accepted. Some cases may be to ban for:
Mass Rulebreaking
LTAP
Ban Evading
Community Banned
Bans can also be made longer if the same user does the same rule break after their original ban.
Delete User's Avatar - Delete user's avatar is rarely used but can be used if a User's avatar is breaking the TeamSpeak rules. An example is a User having an avatar with a racial slur. Removing the avatar does not guarantee that they won't use it again but can be considered a verbal warning to not do it again.
What would I do different with my new powers? (we recommend around 50 words):
Differently, aside from the basic features of TS3 Staff will allow me to handle certain situations responding to a report abuse of a TeamSpeak Staff Member for abusing their powers. With the TS HA, I can also handle ban appeals by Users who got banned which is a change from what a TeamSpeak staff member can do. I would only use my new powers to train new staff members, handle situations that require a TeamSpeak Head Admin such as appeals and reports on staff members and only for the good of the server. I would not abuse the new powers I would receive as I am a trusted member of the Community as a trusted server owner.
EXTRA CREDIT: How much does Tyler sell client Icons for?:
Can no longer sell them because he is no longer Community Manager.
Any constructive feedback would be most appreciative.
