Explain what you would do if someone was Text/Mic Spamming on the server:
As a firm believer in giving people a second chance, I would initially inform the player that they breaking server rules and politely ask them to stop and not do it again. Sometimes simply calling out someone's actions is enough to get them to change their ways however, this is not always the case.
Should the player not heed my verbal warning and continue to spam text/voice chat, I would utilise the gag/mute command to silence them for an adequate period of time.
Explain how you would deal with someone using an exploit on the server:
As a firm believer in giving people a second chance, I would initially inform the player that they are abusing an exploit which is breaking server rules and politely ask them to stop and not do it again. Sometimes simply calling out someone's actions is enough to get them to change their ways however, this is not always the case.
Should the player not heed my verbal warning and continue to exploit, I would escalate the punishment to a slay and make it clear that the punishment(s) will continue to escalate should they ignore the consequences and continue to exploit.
Explain the meaning of the term "ghosting" and give an example scenario:
Definition:
Ghosting is a concept where two players playing the same game are communicating through external software, i.e. Discord, TeamSpeak, in order to gain an unfair advantage over other players.
Example:
Player A and Player B are communicating in a private Discord with each other.
Player C, who is a prop, starts running away from Player A who has spotted him.
In an attempt to kill Player C, Player A fires a grenade into a room which ends up killing him due to prop damage.
Player C who spots this, stops running and finds a hiding spot in the same room.
Player A, who has just seen this, tells Player B via discord that he has just died in the same room as Player C and that is where he is hiding.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 75 words):
As a former TTT Head Admin, I possess a great amount of experience in dealing with a variety of situations that could also be encountered while being a member of staff on Prop Hunt. Players who saw me operate as a member of staff in the past will know I am calm/collected, firm but fair and thorough when handling (forum) reports.
Since my resignation from TTT (amongst other positions), Prop Hunt is a new server to me since I returned to the community. After trying to get back into TTT, trying Deathrun and even Bhop, I can say without a doubt that Prop Hunt is the most engaging gamemode for me now. Due to this, combined with my reliability for fulfilling activity requirements, I will be a highly active member of the staff team typically around 1800-2200 BST on weekdays and anytime on weekends.
Admittely, there are completely different rules on Prop Hunt in comparison to TTT however I think it is fair to assume that a large percentile of the experience I have could be shared across both servers. However, by accumulating some activity on the server prior to applying for the moderator position I have been able to familarise myself with the new ruleset.
Extra Information: (Not Required) I understand my activity is lacklustre at this moment in time however over the course of the following week I hope to amass more hours as I'm currently off-work and can play throughout the work day.
