How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
During my 1 Month as an Administrator I've experienced plenty of Staff Situations, I have had some good experiences as well as some big learning curves throughout my time as staff. While being staff I feel that I have developed my skills to a high enough level to be able to help staff as well as users whether it be a user reporting another player to a staff member needing advice I will always try to give advice to the best of my ability. During my staffing time I have experienced a lot of situations which I feel will greatly benefit my staff duties.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team?
Activity
I try to get activity every day if it’s possible to try spending as much time on their as possible to ensure if users or other staff members need anything I’m there. Not only this but I’m also extremely active all other forms of communication, these being Steam, TeamSpeak, Discord and the Forums.
Dedication
My dedication to Bhop as well as the community is considerably high due of the amount of time spent on the servers and in the community. A lot of my time spent on the server is helping and talking to users and the staff making sure they know everything they wish and that I can provide and that, while playing they have the best possible experience.
Experience
I have had multiple staffing positions on other servers, such as being SSRP staff 3 times and Deathrun, during these times I have come across many situations which have enriched me with the knowledge to handle a lead team position.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
One situation I encountered during my staffing time where no leadteam was around, was when a suspected auto-strafe was on the server, due to me not being able to handle with it by myself, I just simply spectated the user to gather enough proof, so when I did get in contact with a LT member, I could report it.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
After saying I will handle the report, I would firstly aim to contact the user making the report through whatever form of communicating is best for them, once I get into contact with them, I would ask them what happen and for their side of the story, after this I would do the same with the Staff member being reported. Once I had heard everything I needed and looked at the provided proof, I could give an outcome on the report, depending on the situation, it will be accepted or denied.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I firstly would ask the staff member if I could speak to him through what means of communication is best for him. Once in contact with the staff member, I would ask him what made him ban the user for such an excessive amount of time, it may have been an accident or he may not have noticed so it’s important to remain calm and talk to the staff member. Once I have spoken to him, I would ensure that he changes the punishment to make sure it follows the ethos and corresponds correctly with the rule broken.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
Before anything I would take the situation out of game, to ensure other users aren’t affected, once we have all managed to meet through other means of communication, I would firstly ask if he would like me to help, take over or give advice. Once the situation is defused, I would talk to the staff member to try ensuring this doesn’t happen again and make sure that he has the knowledge so if a situation like this arises again, he is better equipped.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
Firstly, I would get both staff members in a form of group communication, such as in TS3 or in a steam group chat, once we are altogether, I will ask for both sides of the story to ensure I know everything that has gone on, I would also ask for any valid evidence the members of staff may have. Once I have all the information and evidence I have, I can make a conclusion, I can either deny it due to lack of rule breaking or evidence, or I can accept it, where I can either just give the staff member a talking to, or I can bring them up in the meeting for a larger punishment depending on the rule broken and if this staff member had been warned before.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
Firstly, I would take them both out of game, it’s important that no other users experience on the server is affected, instead of bringing them into a group chat straight away, I will talk to them both individually to make sure no more arguing occurs and gather both ends of the story, making sure I know what happened, who started it and why it started. Once I have all the information I need and any proof that may have been provided I can conclude on what I will do. If this is a one-off situation I would just give both staff members a talking to and ensure they leave each other alone, if this is a re-occurring thing then I would bring up both staff members in the meeting so me and the other LT can conclude to resolve the matter.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would first approach the staff member calmly and ask what they are doing, because it could be that the member of staff is unaware of what he is doing. Once I have spoken to him I would ensure that they know not to do it again. If the staff member was doing it on purpose then the outcome would be very different, depending on how large the situation is, he would either be brought up in the meeting or emergency demoted and again brought up in the meeting.
