Steam Name: Kernöl If the umlaut causes problems I am willing to change this back to my previous name, Kleinstar.

Languages I speak: English (native speaker, received pronunciation AKA Tory accent), German (native speaker, strong Austrian accent, very melodic. Will speak "regular" German if I absolutely have to but it makes me feel icky)
Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Killing players as an innocent/detective without an acceptable KOS reason, killing other traitors as a traitor. Example would be an innocent player indiscriminately murdering surrounding players upon round start
Give three examples of an acceptable KOS and its scenario:
- Impeding movement of gold block to tester: I see a player throw the gold block far into the ocean, I call it out and shoot them.
- Killing detective: I see a player kill someone, I ID the body and, upon seeing it was a detective, call out the killer and shoot them.
- Ignoring warnings: I am detective, I warn player at least twice in text chat to "Test or KOS", including their playername in the message. The player fails to move towards or enter the tester. I call it out and shoot them.
3.
Give two examples of unacceptable KOS and their scenarios:
- Killing on suspicion: I see a player loitering near the traitor room. I do not see them enter. I shoot them.
- KOS on skin: Another player calls "KOS on Picolas Cage". I kill the first player I see with that skin.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 100 words):
I am an adult (22 years old), I am Austrian but grew up and went to school in the UK and therefore speak English like a native. I have already made two successfully followed-up reports on the forum for TTT and generally try to help wherever I can. I agree with all of the server's rules, including the slightly more "controversial" ones such as zero tolerance on discrimination. Hence I will enforce these rules not only out of duty, but out of conviction.
I have no punishments whatsoever after about a week of regular playing, having reached level 7
Below is an extended bit about myself, I know it's a far more than 100 words so I'm putting it in a spoiler. I guess you could consider it "optional extras".
Hi! I'm Paul, I'm a bit of a happy idiot mostly, think Todd Chavez from Bojack Horseman, for example. I study computer science at the Technical University of Graz, which is where Nikola Tesla studied before he got addicted to gambling so yeah, very proud. I chose computer science because it's incredibly lucrative in Austria and I didn't know what to do with my life...also because I went to a boys' school and wanted to continue at uni with a similar experience. As a computer nerd and also, starting next month, a remote programming mentor for schoolkids, I feel I have both the technical and interpersonal skills for a staff position. Furthermore, I have an Xbox controller plugged into my PC so that I can record gameplay with audio for evidence at the press of a button. Neat, right?
My hobbies include being a softcore music nerd, going to the pub to interact with other expats and TCKs and going to the gym out of crippling fear that my girlfriend will leave me. I'm also quite interested in politics, Formula 1 (I know, I'm a loser, bully me) and knowing oddly specific details about random subjects. Now here are some pros and cons for me as a mod:
Pros:
- Passionate disdain for trolls
- Clean record
- Calm demeanor because, in the end, it's just a game
- Relevant real life experience as a former Air Cadet non-commissioned officer and certified Level 2 team leader from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Also used to work as a security guard.
- Have actual human girlfriend whom I live with so won't annoy or harass female players all damn day. Not to say that single dudes all do that but you know what I mean, a guy in a relationship definitely wont. That and I'm a decent human being, you know?
- Impeccable music taste except if you disagree with my subjective opinions in which case awful music taste
Cons:
- Existential dread seeps into every aspect of my personality. Soz, I'm a millennial
- Personal vendetta against group of players who have privately admitted being trolls to me but whom I have yet to get hard evidence on. May result in hollywood-esque loose cannon cop type drama. Stay tuned. Seriously though, I'm going to catch those guys on recording sooner or later.
- The only properly serious con: I may get busy with real life obligations and have less time for the server at any point, particularly in June. You know how it is as a student, I'm sure
Thank you for your consideration!
