My Goals: I have many goals and wishes for the server and staff, but some of them require a lot more than what I am able to do and if I were to try to list them all out, I would be here all night. One of the things I would particularly like to see is the staff team more unified as a whole. Now, what I mean by this is that there have been moments when the staff team is more split about a difficult situation and it causes issues and raises tension between staff members. I understand that in a perfect world there would be no such thing, yet this isn’t a perfect world and some might even say that it’s far from it, but what I really would like to see from our staff team is becoming more focused on team based objectives, rather than our own individual objectives. While I am aware that this kind of thing isn’t for everyone and there will always be people who would much rather do their own thing, but as a staff team we need to be focused and centered on what is best for the server, what is best for our players, and ultimately what is best for our staff team.
Community Feedback: I have always tried to do my best with listening to what not only staff members have to say, but also what our player base has to say. There’s been more than a few moments that I’ve noticed where the player base and the staff team have seemed divided on a topic of interest, an example being of how we can rebalance the gun gameplay as a portion of the staff feel that they gun gameplay is fine, and there are very few or no issues at all with the guns. While a portion of the newer player base feels that a lot of the unlockable weapons are rather difficult to obtain, and some of them being straight up broken. I believe there are a lot of different methods we can take when speaking about gun balancing, and there will always be different things to consider and think about, but this is definitely one of the biggest topics I’ve encountered since playing on the server, that I thought I’d share my thoughts about.
Leadership & Experience: I have been administrating in several communities for some years now, which first started when I began getting into PC Gaming which was for ArmA 2. At that point I was only really interested in playing Life servers. I did that for a couple years, until after my last Life server shutdown due to the ArmA 3 release, and them wanting to focus on making an ArmA 3 life server release. I then turned towards Garry’s mod where I was pulled in by how much fun the TTT gamemode looked and shortly afterwards ended up joining a community by the name of ABS (Abstract Servers) where we ran a 24/7 67th way and a 24/7 Dolls server, which I was apart of that community for quite awhile until I was appointed as the Server Manager, shortly afterwards is when I stepped down. After my time in ABS I found FP and spent the better portion of several months playing there on the JailBreak server as staff then moving onto the DarkRP server where I was also made staff, as time went on Chute acquired ZARP which is when one of the staff members who was apart of FP contacted me about coming over to the ZARP Community and helping out. From there I made it as a Lead Team member on the DarkRP server, while also being staff on a couple of the other servers as well as being a Global Moderator on the forums. Between then and since I came back to ZARP, I’ve been apart of few different communities, some being for Garry’s Mod, and others being for ArmA 3, however the latter have been primarily Milsim units.
Professionalism: This should go without saying, anyone who actually knows me should know that I try to act in an extremely professional manner at all times, while there is a time and place to be silly, when you’re handling an administrative issue or representing our server such as on the forums, you should always be professional and respectful as you’re representing our server and community. “There is always room for improvement” This isn’t something I like to repeat all the time because it is ultimately covering up an issue with an excuse, but this is definitely one of those that fall underneath this particular category. I’m not saying that everyone needs to act in a particular manner, because if that was the case, there would be no sense of diversity amongst our staff. However, what I am saying is that there are definitely notable times when we could all act a bit more professional, whether it be in-game, on teamspeak or on the forums.
Some situations that I expect to encounter as a Head Administrator
An argument sparks between Lead Team Members: As far as discussions go, sometimes they can escalate into arguments, but as long as they’re constructive then there shouldn’t be any issues past that point. However, if there ever are they need to be sorted because especially at the Lead Team level, we all have to work in tandem with each other, and having those kind of feelings towards one another can lead to a sour work relationship.
A player persistently creates appeals due to believing that they were unfairly punished: I understand that players might not always understand some situations that occur, and they believe in making additional appeals because they believe that they’re being unfairly punished and would like another opinion.
A staff member abuses their powers: It’s not everyday when a staff member abuses their powers, especially in a negative faction where players or even other staff members are affected by it, but when it does happen it needs to be handled appropriately and in a reasonable fashion to avoid anymore misuse of their powers.
Final Remarks
I just briefly wanted to speak about the fact that I am applying, even with being a newer super.
As many of you should know, I care a lot about our TTT server and I want to see it striving for bigger and better things. While I know that we're just kinda stuck with what we've got right now, I would like that to change in the nearby future. Despite me being a newer super, I've caught onto things rather quickly, and I've never had any issues with helping my fellow staff members out whenever they've needed it. I've always tried to be that person that can be seen as helpful, dependable, professional, and most of all friendly towards everyone. I believe after everything that I am ready for this position, despite my lack of time. I am certainly experienced and I know I would make a great addition as a Head Administrator.
I would just like to personally thank you for reading through my application, and I welcome any Feedback/Criticism that anyone may have!
