How would you handle a TS3 appeal?:
The same way that I have handled appeals while on SSRP. I would read the appeal (in the correct format) and contact the staff members that banned the user. Then we would decided on whether or not to unban the user or keep the ban in place. I would post the outcome and either unban or tell the user that they need to read the rules more carefully and to wait out their ban.
Accepted:
Hello User, after speaking with xxx about your appeal we have decided to lift your ban. Hope to see you soon.
Denied:
Hello User, after speaking xxx about your appeal we have decided to deny this. Take some of this time to remind yourself of our TOU. We'll see you soon.
Explain some of the administrative features of TS3 and when they're used
appropriately:
Set Server Group:
This tool allows me to change someone's server group. Such as when they become a new staff member (I keep this to SSRP because that is the only place I train people), it shows their new rank with a new badge.
Set Channel Group
This tool allows Teamspeak Head Admins to set someone as a gang owner, so once their gang spacer is approved, they are able to chat amongst each other and have meetings as needed.
Permissions Overview
This tool allows Teamspeak Head Admins to check other staff members permissions.
Kick Client from Channel
This tool allows a Teamspeak staff member to kick someone from a channel back into the AFK/Lobby channel. This warning is only used for people who break minor rules. It is a great tool to use when micspam and chatspam begin occurring.
Kick Client from Server
This tool is used by Teamspeak staff when minor TOU breaks occur, this usually is used as a warning before a ban.
Ban Client
This tool is used to ban a user from the Teamspeak for a certain amount of time, ranging from 1 second to permanent. This can be used by any Teamspeak staff member and should be saved for major TOU/rule breaks. Ddos, alts, dox, and continued mass rulebreak should be the only reasons that a perm ban is set.
Delete User's Avatar
This tool should only be used when a user's avatar is TOU breaking and they refuse to change it.
What would I do different with my new powers? (we recommend around 50 words):
Personally, I have not had to use my powers besides when someone reports another player for breaking TOU (with evidence) or when I am training someone. The reason everyone would benefit from me receiving this rank is due to my fairness and caring nature. When handing out bans I am fair, yet firm and people have come to respect that. When I am in spacers with other people, they usually know how I am with bans or kicks and treat people according to the TOU, which is why I have not had many incidents.
Being able to handle ban appeals would also improve player experience as I am quite thorough in my attempts and make sure to have the full story. I speak with staff members about their opinions and thoughts and take everything into consideration. Then together we work through everything and give the best possible outcome that we can.
Everyone would also greatly benefit from this because I would be able to keep our staff members in check, if a staff member were to give an improper ban, I would be able to pull them aside and speak to them about the proper way to handle a situation and remove the ban. I would then pull the user into our spacer and explain what is occurring, giving the proper punishment (if needed).
I would never abuse my powers, and that can be shown through my rank on SSRP and my current rank on TS. So I can be trusted with a higher rank.
With all of these points, I believe you all can see my passion, dedication, and trust within the teamspeak server.
