Explain a situation where it would be appropriate to use the ban command: Player A who is a Detective, attempts and kills several other players, all ranging from Innocents, Traitors and even another Detective. All claims made against Player A are indeed true as they did RDM several other players on the server, Player A then decides to leave shortly after they were finally killed by an Innocent who they were attempting to kill. Therefore the ban would be for Mass RDM+LTAP
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Player X,
After careful consideration, I have decided to lift and remove your ban. You have put a lot of time and effort into wanting to be unbanned, that I feel you have learned your lesson from this whole ordeal. Please take this as a serious learning lesson never to cheat on our servers, I may have accepted this one, but if you ever decide to do this again, you won't find it as easy to appeal your next one!
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words): While I am a newer moderator, I feel that a lot of my previous administration experience has helped me when it comes to dealing with most situations that arise, which is why I've received a lot of praise by other members of staff and players telling me that I should just be applying for administrator. A lot of my reasoning for wanting to go for an administrator position is simply because of the fact that I know I can do what is expected of any administrator, and I believe my previous experience will not only help myself, but very well could help newer and even current staff members with situations they quite can't figure out how to deal with. As a moderator, I feel very limited in my ability to help moderate the server, and when you're the only one on later at night, when most other staff aren't on because of either their timezone or just not having the desire to be on the server while moderating it at the same time, it can be difficult with the limitations that moderators are given. I have always done the very best to my abilities to help and assist anyone, whether they're members of staff or the players who play on the server, and when it comes down to matters on hand, I've always done with what evidence has been provided, allowed common sense to be a factor on hand, and most importantly being lenient when it comes down to certain situations, especially with newer players who are just learning how to play on the server.
Extra Information: (Not Required) While I know there will be someone @EMP who brings up the fact that I am previously a staff member, I could of just as easily asked to apply for administrator instead of starting off with being a moderator, I would like to state the reasons why I didn't decide to do this in the first place.
1: At the time I didn't realize I was actually a TTT staff member back then (It was over four years ago) nor did I know about the change in procedure for ex-staff being allowed to ask for permission to reapply as an administrator, rather than starting from moderator all over again.
1.1: Even if I had known, I don't feel like at the time I was known well enough to be allowed to reapply and I had more or less just recently had come back to the community and began playing on the TTT server.
2: Once I had learned about the fact I could of just as easily reapplied for administrator as long as I had permission to do so, I hadn't been a staff member in several months, up towards about a year, therefore I considered myself rusty and rather than being allowed to reapply, making mistakes as an old staff member, I wanted to start off fresh. As for my honest opinion, someone who hasn't been staff in several years, has no right coming back out of the blue and applying for a position that requires you having the previous staff rank to apply for in the first place.
I would just like to personally thank you for reading through my application, and I welcome any Feedback/Criticism that anyone may have!
