This might be quite lengthy, but I have decided to give you some feedback as well!
You are doing a good job as far as F1 count goes. You have a high F1 count, admittedly higher than mine. And you dedicate a lot of your time towards taking care of those pesky F1s. I would say your F1 count couldn't be better and I really appreciate the work you have done so far.
Appart from that, I still feel like you aren't ready. Why? I think it's an attitude issue mostly. You are very quick to jump to a conclusion, almost never giving the users time to explain themselves properly. Your punishments are extremely harsh from my perspective, you almost never give out verbals, you always warn. I do not agree with that kind of staffing as a part of the ethos states that our highest goal should be to improve the experience of the users and shouldn't make it worse. As staff member, you have to walk a thin line between being effective and being harsh.
You are showing a lot of dedication towards finishing those F1s, but in my opinion, you should still learn to forgive and to adjust your punishments correctly. I feel like giving the ban command to you would ruin the experience of some players without a proper reason.
So my advice is that you keep doing what you do in terms of F1s done, but focus more on taking your time and talking to the users, giving them a feeling that you work for them and not against them. If you fix this, I will vote for you, if not, I don't feel like you should be getting admin any time soon.
I give out alot of verbals though lol
I mean.. Ashur, he did say a few nice things. And yet you cannot thank him, you just jump to the part that annoyed you.
Everyone makes mistakes, but we need to learn to accept them, and work on them..
I appreciate the good things, but as Xnator said, i was well within my right
Powers aren't a right. They're a privilege. Sorry to undermine ya Xnator, but they're not a right. We use these privileges to make sure that everyone's play experience is enhanced. If these were a right, every one in the game would have them because they have a right to them. Abuse these privileges, though, and they'll be taken from you.
Ethos IS a guideline, yes, but it's there so everyone feels as though they're getting the fairest treatment. Sure you can ignore the ethos and do things how you see fit, but reports will be put against you. You will have your powers removed. You're not treating everyone fairly or punishing them fairly.
Based on this I don't think you're ready at all. Your attitude is sour.. not fit. You're too quick to judge.. not fit. You don't respect the ethos in any sort of way and do what you please.. not fit. Also based on what you say about ltap, you definitely do not need the ban power. No matter how many times we've explained it to you.
You don't need admin until you can learn how to be a proper moderator and actually do things for the benefit of those in the server while treating them fairly. My vote is a no until you change your attitude about being a staff member.
You are correct that powers are by no means a right, but technically speaking there's nothing wrong with he kick that Ashur gave that one time. Is it harsh? Yes, I'd say it is and no I would not do it myself. But every staff member is different.
The only thing we can do is guide each staff member. We'll correct them when they're wrong and we'll compliment them if they're right but it doesn't change that every staff member has their own ways of dealing with specific issues.
We can only do our best to inform them of what we believe to be the best way to treat such particular issues. We cannot force them. When accepting staff we give them powers because we believe they'll do the right thing with it. As long as it isn't a clear breach of the policies they tecnically have the right to use those powers how they see fit. And what Ashur did, although harsh, does not break any policies.
