TOPIC: [Deathrun Admin] TheXnator's Application

The ban command is a last resort command. It should only be used in a situation where it is absolutely necessary, and when there is not another way to get the user to follow the rules. An example of when you could use the ban command would be if a user had 10+ recent punishments. In this situation, you should tell the player that if they get another warning then they would be banned. If the user continued to get another warning, they could then be banned. The length of the ban would depend on their recent punishments and whether they had any other recent bans. Usually, if they just had 10 recent punishments, then a one day ban (1440 minutes) would suffice.




When I was first a Moderator (and the second time too), I never really came across any overly difficult situations, and currently I am applying from user, but a hypothetical situation which a Moderator could struggle with would be as follows: If a user were consitently coming on the server and constantly breaking rules, and clearly not learning from their punishments. This user could be constantly trap spamming, trap stealing, micspamming, chat spamming etc. and not listening to staff when told to stop / punished for their actions. A way to get around this situation would be to first of all just start with minor punishments such as mutes / slays, and then start to warn them after they did it again after 1 or 2 punishments. After being warned 3 times, the user would be automatically kicked from the server. If the user then came back and joined, constantly causing issues again, then the user could just be given another warning, and a one hour ban would be placed on them. If, after this, the user came back and did the same thing over and over, the Moderator could then message an Admin on Steam / Teamspeak and ask them to hop online to help out and place a longer ban on the user for them to learn to stop breaking rules.




I believe that I should be chosen for the position of Admin on Deathrun for a multitude of reasons. For a start, I am a very trusted and experienced member of the community and the Deathrun server. I am currently the Server Owner of the Prophunt and the Murder server, a Head Admin on TTT, Surf and Teamspeak, a Super Admin on SSRP and Forum Staff in 3 sections. I was also previously an admin on Deathrun itself (twice). I believe that this would make me a good candidate because it shows that I am very trusted and experienced with powers in the community. This also means that I know what I am doing on Deathrun and in terms of staffing in great detail, and I will be able to handle almost any situation that could arise for a staff member with ease. As a staff member on Deathrun in the past (the first time), there was a lot that I wanted to do in order to help out with the server and to help it advance, but I was too busy back then to actually put in more than just staffing. I would like to be able to help out more on the server this time, and to do my job as best as I can as a staff member, and to possibly help out around the server in any other way that would be useful. My second time as an Admin, Dezmond went inactive and that meant that everything extra that I was attempting to do for the serve became redundant, as nobody would put it on the server. With Annie and Sarah as Owners, a lot more of the extra work I do for Deathrun (development work) actually goes onto the server, so once again there is more than I can do on top of staffing, and with the server receiving more updates, it is a lot more fun to play for long periods of time. Furthermore, I am a very kind, patient and fair person. I always follow the staff ethos as best as I can, and I will always listen to people and try to help them to the best of my ability, even if it is not something that would be required of me as a staff member. I believe that I would make a good staff member on Deathrun once again and that I would be able to make a good contribution in order to help the server to advance and grow, and to help out as much as possible on the server, be it with staffing or other areas.

Every time u have been staff in the past you simply gave up and reigned in a week due to not having time It seem this is pointless

I feel like you should get your 2 weeks of activity before you go for admin, just to prove your dedicated.

You're JUST under the minimum required, I personally feel it's kinda silly that you think it's acceptable to apply for an admin rank with that activity.

The whole "My activity will get better throughout the week" thing is kinda silly also, you know as a server owner of 2 servers head admin and super admin of multiple others, you should know that being dedicated to a server is a big big part of becoming staff, that sort of thing should be proven before you apply not when you apply.

As I have said before, my activity will be much better by the meeting, as I still have plenty of time to get it up, and as by boi Yim Yam said, you accepted him with just under a week of activity, from applying with only one day (www.gametracker.com/player/Jim_Jam/play.zarpgaming.com:27035/), and the Deathrun requirement is only 2 hours, something I managed to get over the course of a couple of days.
Though you may say the extra things I do for Deathrun don't mean anything, I still have well over the requirement. I have only resigned on Deathrun twice, the first time being about a year ago, when I simply wasn't interested in Deathrun, and most of the staff back then were being cunts, and the second time a little while before Dezmond resigned because I saw no point in helping the server if Dezmond couldn't be bothered to do anything himself.
