Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin: Getting use to the commands that you use as a mod, will help me when i become a admin. Also just getting use to doing F1's really helps.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):For the longest time I undermined how many people actually break the rules, the amount of people that break NLR is amazing.
Having prefaced it with that, I would like to continue on saying, the most difficult times for me were, when the server was filled with a mass amount of people.
There were times when the server had 90 to a 100 people on, the mass rule breaks were insane, handling F1's was close to impossible without getting RDMd.
At one point an admin tp'd me to the admin area so I wouldn't get RDM'd while dealing with F1's.Also the overload of people breaking rules was quite hard to deal with at some points, felt like it was a little too much for me to handle them as a mod. Luckily my 120WPM helped a lot typing out the commands.
Recap: The biggest obstacle for me was dealing with mass amounts of rule break at peak times with limited amount of powers as a moderator.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hey buddy, you have just been accepted to the prestigious rank of a moderator on "ZarpGaming".
This post will attempt to give you a run down of every command you will need as moderator.
/kick (Steam ID)
This command is something that you should only use if someone is crashing the server, zarp has a warning system that can be used for almost every situation.
/warn (Steam ID) (Reason)
The following command is used to punish players for rule breaking.
As a moderator you have the option to verbally warn someone or give them a warning that will go to their "rapsheet", the rapsheet can be accsessed pressing "F6".
Verbals should be given out in cases where the player has little to no warnings which you can check for by pressing "F6".
/unwarn (Steam ID)
This command is used for taking back warnings from players, this command should only be used on the warnings that you, yourself have given out.
If you feel as if your judgment in a certain "F1" was flawed, this command can fix it!
/bring (Steam ID)
This will teleport the player next to, or near you.
This a very handy command for "F1's"!
/tp (Steam ID)
This command is used to teleport a player where your cursor is pointing to, for example, if you point your crosshair to the sky and use the command, you will tp up in the air.
Also a very useful command as a moderator, since moderators do not have access to the "noclip" command.
/goto (Steam ID)
This will teleport you to a player!
/slay (Steam ID)
Like the /kick command, this should only be used in certain situations, I would say the best time to use this is if someone is breaking NLR, but you also have the /backspawn command for that.
/freeze (Steam ID)
This is also a very handy command, whenever someone breaks rules, their natural inclination is to run away and this command prevents just that.
This can also be used in sits where someone keeps running away, or shooting around.
It's freezes them!
/unfreeze (Steam ID)
This undos the freeze you have put on a player!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Hello I spoke to the admin, we have decided accept your ban appeal!
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words):
One more person to do the F1's
In all seriousness I spend quite a lot of time in a day playing zarp and I am sure if I can help even more with rule breakers if I were to get accepted.
I think I am also quite good at handling F1's fast and efficiently and also a all around god.
