Why I should be SSRP HA
So, as you might have noticed, I haven’t made a very big application this time. When I applied for Prophunt Head Administrator and TTT Head Administrator I listed various Lead Team scenarios and what my initial reaction, behaviour and conclusion to those would be. This was, however, in a time when I had not yet proven myself as a capable Lead Team member to the community yet. Things have changed since then, and I was actually quite close to possibly becoming ZARP’s Community Manager. I lost to two very capable staff members, but that does not mean I give up and stop helping within the community.
First of all, there are currently only two Head Administrators. I believe I am more than capable to fill up that empty space. SSRP’s Lead Team is not in the strongest position currently, and I wish to help it get through these troubling times. When SSRP’s Lead Team is doing badly, the server is doing bad as well, and I can personally notice it in the staff’s behaviour.
An example would be the fact that several users that had to be trained were not trained until later in the week. In fact, one person had not been trained until nearly a week after they were accepted. I am afraid that this particular week was not a week for me where I could easily spend a lot of my time, as I had multiple assignments for school, work and I also had to prepare myself for possibly becoming the next Community Manager.
Although I could not help in this particular week does not mean that I could not help under other circumstances. I was fully willing to train both the staff members and I had been in contact with them both. In fact, I even managed to get other Lead Team members to train them for me (love you @Clarky @Joey <3).
I believe I have all of the qualifications and skillsets needed for a promotion to Head Administrator. I handle staff situations expertly and will do my best to solve any issues even if it takes up time I’d rather spent on other things. It has happened multiple times in the past that I spent until and even after midnight to deal with an issue so everyone can end up happy. When an issue is explained to me, I try to get both sides. If one of them accuses the other of lying, I try to calm them down and get them to explain their side as well. In the end I finalise the discussion with an analysis of the situation that explains to the staff in question where and how it went wrong and what they should do next time to avoid situations such as these from happening again.
Several things need to happen to fix the current SSRP Lead Team, and I am fully willing to give it my all to make these things happen. We
need new, active Lead Team members to help the staff team and improve the users’ experience on the servers. We
need the current Lead Team to get a wake-up call and realise that the current inactivity is not a good thing for the server and even harms it.
We
need for the current staff members to feel more involved with the Lead Team. They need to know who we are and feel like we’re trying to help them. We need for the staff members that do their job to be rewarded and for the staff that do not do their job to be demoted. Currently the minimum F1 count has turned into a joke. Something that was supposed to be set in place to help the staff team (and I won’t lie, it has helped in the past) is now being ignored and is more often used as a guideline when staff try to get promoted rather than being used as an argument to get staff demoted.
I will work hard with the current Lead Team that we have to fix the staff team we have “back into shape”. I believe that new powers and new responsibilities can only help with this. I will do my best to help the Super Admins and Head Admins, as well as the current staff, so that we can all make the server great again.
