Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
Well, as some of you may know, I am doing a lot of f1s and done the most f1s this week (First), 250+ f1s. I enjoy doing them, and yes sometimes they are hard but I am here to help and make the server's quality even better! I heard no complains, I always learn from what I see, hear or if I made a little mistake, fixed it ASAP and learnt from it aswell!
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
I remember I was once all alone on server 1 and there were 15 f1s to do, and I did all of them by myself, in time, and got each and every user satasfied. I felt sorry that I couldn't do them any quicker, but atleast I've done them.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hello, _____! Congrats, you are now officially a Moderator on Zarp's SSRP!
I am here to help you, So I will guide you with commands and give you a few tips!
It is very important to know how to do your job as a moderator, and not punish people in the wrong way, after all, we are here to improve the server's quality and people's experience with it!
First of all,
you need to read the ethos: zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/general-d...-servers-staff-ethos
Great! Now we move on to the commands:
- Warn:
This command is used to warn players for rulebreaking. You use warns in sits, after being 100% sure the player deserves the warn because he broke a rule (NOTE: Even if you're not in a F1, you need to make a sit to inform a player about why they have been warned!). You should always punish the player for breaking the rules, DO NOT fall for their tricks, because you may think that they don't deserve a warn sometimes - But they do!
A player can recieve 3 warnings, and after it he will be kicked. If he joins back later, and recieves one more, its an 1 hour automatic ban!
If you warn a player, ALWAYS use his steam ID! (you may get it from the logs or the TAB menu).
Example: /warn (insert steamID) (reason)
- Teleport:
The teleport is useful to teleport players to the place you're pointing at, or teleport yourself to the place you're looking at.
You can use this command to bring players to sits, or to tp yourself to a roof/TDM Arena/The player you're looking at.
You can use player's name or steamID (I always prefer steamID, but to be honest, TAB menu is the best).
I would suggest creating a keybinding in your console for teleporting yourself.
Example: bind "<SELECTED KEY>" "say /teleport".
Example: /tp (insert steamID)
-Back:
This command is used to teleport players back to their last position before teleporting them, or to tp them to spawn (I'd reccomend using the TAB menu here, too).
Example: /back (insert steamID)
-Goto:
The go to command is useful to tp yourself to a specific player! (Again, TAB menu is more reccomended, or just tp to a player when you're dealing with his f1!)
Remember: when you need to tp the second player to a sit, ALWAYS go to them first, to see if they aren't too busy to be in a sit.
Example: /goto (insert steamID)
-Bring:
This command is used if u want to teleport a player to yourself. (TAB menu reccomended, but when you're dealing with an f1, you can bring a player to you directly from the f1, AFTER you tp yourself to a roof).
-Freeze:
This command is used to freeze people, it avoids them from shooting etc.
You can freeze people who try to escape a sit, people who attempt RDM, and people who are breaking rules infront of your eyes.
I'd reccomend the tab menu again, its easier and quicker.
-Mute Chat:
This command is helpful when someone is spamming chat or disrespecting, so you need to mute them for a few seconds or minutes.
-Mute Globally:
This command is useful when someone is micspamming or disrespecting in speech, and you need to mute them for a few seconds or minutes, so no one can hear them.
-Slay:
This command is used when someone has a weapon they cannot own.
For example, a citizen owns a big gun, and they refuse to drop it. You can slay them, and they will lose the weapon and probably respawn.
-Unban From Job:
This command is used when someone makes an f1 usually about being falsely demoted, and you need to unban them from a job that they have been demoted from! (TAB menu reccomended).
-Kick:
This command is helpful when someone is massivly breaking rules and you can't handle them anymore, I usually use this command when there are no admins on the server, or they are afk, so you kick the person who deserves a ban. DONT FORGET: Always give a reason for a kick!
-The admin keypad checker:
This tool allows you to check if a base is legal, if the keypads DO controll enteties in the RIGHT way.
You will click on the keypad to check the time for how long it stays open 4 sec is the minimum, if you can’t find the keypad then use the tool on the prop to check if a keypad is connected to it or not.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
First of all, I would check the player's warnings. If he has any recent warnings about the same or similar situations, I would change his ban time.
"Hello ____!
Thank you for making this ban appeal. I will handle it.
I've checked your warning and found out you have warnings similar to the situation you described!
I am glad to tell you I have decided to change your ban time to 1 week. While your ban lasts, please make sure to read the rules again!
I am happy I could help!"
If the player has no warnings about same or similar things, I would reply with this:
"Hello ___!
Thank you for making this ban appeal, I will handle it.
I have decided to accept your appeal! Make sure to read the rules again
Enjoy your time playing!"
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words).
When I was mod I've done 250+ f1s on my first week kek
but on the serious note,
I personally get a lot of rulebreakers around me on a daily basis, and it makes me feel sad that I can't really do anything about it. I would like to prevent rulebreaking, and help people when they make an f1.
Also, I miss being staff and being able to contribute to the server a little more than by being an user.
I remember being told that I've done a good job when I was staff, so I don't see any problem.
Thx for reading! Have a great day
