Paradox: steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198119316906/: STEAM_0:0:79525589: www.gametracker.com/player/Paradox/play.zarpgaming.com:27030/: Server 1 - www.gametracker.com/server_info/play.zar...m:27030/top_players/ 4010 minutes and increasing: Pure British: PROMOTION RELATED Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin: I feel my time as a moderator has been very mature and greatly helped the servers overall environment in being a good surfing server with a good atmosphere to learn and progress around in, I also have been one of the only "very active" staff as i am on everyday for a good 2/3 hours and through this time it is very rarely I have seen another staff member except from the odd mod or two, I would like to think my promotion to becoming admin will increase my power to make the server an even better environment to surf in. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user): As I have had plenty of times with being a mod, if there has been a very distressing player towards the community or population on the server I have not been able to deal with them properly, for instance I've had a fair amount of racism on the server and I cannot mute because they relog i cannot kick because they relog and I have no power in what i can do to be rid of them for the time being or been able to give a applicable punishment to them with my very few powers as mod, i have asked many times for an admin or higher up to come on to temp ban the distressing player but none reply. If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?: To become a mod on such a large community and a wide range of players to come on from varies of languages there is a lot of patience and matureness and knowing to give up some of your time to assist other players as the most important thing of being a mod is to make sure everyone is happy and safe in the server, there is a lot of knowing when to punish and when not for instance if someone is speaking another language you need to know weather they are "micspamming" or actually talking which i have had a few times, a great deal of willpower is to be put into as well as a good mod is an active mod, if you are inactive then your useless as you cannot help players who are in need to be helped or a player that is causing distress. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? I would not unban the player as cheating is a 0 tolerance, I would kindly accept the players apology and be kind to them however I would kindly get the point along that cheating is not acceptable with the note that an unban will not take place. Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words): I think I should be promoted to an admin because I am a very active player and is on for a fair amount of the day, I also know very well how to deal with certain situations as I have been staff for various servers in the past and know what to do with certain powers as an admin also feel I should be promoted because I am a very respectful player and will help anyone with any problem that they have on the surf server even to the littlest things, Secondly I feel I should be promoted because this will allow me to control the server more appropriately and be able to give the right punishment if something goes beyond a mods permissions, it would make life a lot easier for me as well because then if someone is creating a very negative environment and a ban is necessary (don't take "negative" into consideration i mean all offences that can resolve to a ban; cheating, racism etc. etc....) as i would like to be able to surf and help other players not have to kick a certain player constantly for relogging as i can give them the punishment that I feel is necessary and carry on to help other players and help the servers positive environment. Thank you |

Your activity is not the best which tells me you haven't handle as many staff situations as you can. I would say give it another week to build up to in game experience before you being able to handle forum reports as they require more experience.
Good luck! |

Thanks for applying for staff at ZARP Surf! During our weekly staff meeting your application, question answers, game trackers and in-game attitude are checked and then the staff team votes on your application. Congratulations! The staff team has voted to accept your application, which means you’re now a part of the ZARP Surf staff team. Before you get started, a staff member will help train you on the server and get you setup with your new rank. There’s a weekly staff meeting for the server every Friday at 9PM GMT, which is held on the ZARP Teamspeak server (IP: ts.zarpgaming.com). You now get a vote on the new staff members and we’ll keep you up to date with new events and server updates at the meeting. Congratulations and thanks for supporting ZARP! . |
