What did the Staff Member(s) do?:
He gave me a straight mute for "disrespect" - no warning or anything of equivalent, just as soon as I said what was deemed "disrespectful" I got muted. This mute wasn't justified either.

I'm not saying he deserves a demote or equivalent.

I just find it unacceptable to mute someone when they weren't warned or what was deemed disrespectful and in my opinion I don't feel anyone could take offense to what I said. And as a first timer for this "disrespect" I don't feel a straight-to-mute option was acceptable.

If everything you're saying is true I completely agree with you on this, you shouldn't be muted straight away - if Raa thought you were being disrespectful he should have said something first, even though what you said should warrant a verbal warning at most :/

A verbal warning I can understand, means I wont do it again because that's what staff do - make sure people don't do what's deemed against the rules.

Or just don't disrespect at all. Yeah he/she should have given verbal first, but if you didnt disrespect at all, nothing would have happenes.

If you break a rule, we as staff are allowed to punish you. A verbal warning is not always needed, however the Staff Ethos does suggest that being more lenient to those without recent punishments is prefered.

What you said in-game was a little odd, by the way. I'm still unsure what the context is here - are "Potato" and "Goblin" people? If so, this would be considered rude and disrespectful to this Potato person, making the mute justified.

I don't deem this as disrespect.
