TOPIC: Para, your story inspired me

So as most of you will probably know I moved out of my parents' houses in August. Living on my own - or at the very least, living without anyone to take care of me - is a bit of a chore, but so far I'm getting through it. I've got a few concerns about school, but I'm sure that'll all turn out fine in the end (*cough**cough*).

One of the few things I sort of neglected for the past few months was working out and taking care of my health. Although I did eat relatively healthy (not as healthy as before, but it wasn't like every night was pizza night), I ate a lot of snacks inbetween meals and I definitely gained a few kilo's. Thankfully I did not gain as much as I could have (I do spend some time cycling around town so that must have helped somewhat) but I did feel myself becoming just that little bit chubbier than before.

The first month I didn't really have an opportunity to work out. I had plenty of time, but my gym membership wouldn't begin until September. Of course that's still an excuse - I could have gone running once or twice a week, or at the very least once.

Before I moved out, I went to the gym once a week for an hour. For a short while I did two hours a week. When I started properly putting in effort I lost 5 kilo's over the course of a few months, which (for the short amount of time I spent working out) is rather good.

I'm unsure how much I weigh currently, and I'm not going to tell you some major story about how stressful everything's been (although, yes, it has been stressful at times) and how I'll now do a giveaway to celebrate my weight loss that'll hopefully definitely occur these coming months.

I made this post for one reason, and one reason only:

To thank Para.

His post inspired me to go to the gym for the first time since I moved out. I honestly couldn't be more thankful for this. I'm not very out of shape (I don't gain fat quickly) and have plenty of oppurtinities to get back into my previous rhythm of working out at least once a week, if not more.

I guess I should also thank Lucy, who of course inspired Para to tell his story and write that post.
