There are
many options to record your game(OBS,FRAPS,
Bandicam)
But i found that
plays.tv is far the best option for the people that can't use shadowplay.
The UI is friendly and
its a reliable recording software.
So Lets get started yis?
Right so the first thing you are going to see when you download and install plays.tv is the login screen
Register an account or if you already have one log in!
Now if everything went right you should be here(without the videos):
now click the
gear settings button and scroll down. Set Quality presets to custom and select
video resolution 720p 50mb/s and 60 fps then scroll down and uncheck "Enable watermark" and
"Display Plays.tv username"
Here are my settings(Select manual and add your own start/stop recording shortcut if you don't want to quit every time you need the video):
(Also go to Audio and make sure its selected correctly)
Now go to advanced and check Auto-Manage Space and set a storage space that is optimal for you! (I recommend minimum 20 gigs)
Alright so now we set it up now go hop in-game and a little icon should pop up in the upper left corner that lets you know plays.tv is on. Now press Your shortcut to start recording and now it should say Manual Recording: On
Congrats you are now recording! If it doesn't say it then just press CTRL+F3 then alt tab out a Garrys mod recording should appear shortly in plays.tv
If not then restart plays.tv aswell as close down any games before starting plays.tv
Alright so now you want to upload something, You start by clicking the recording you want to cut and upload
Click the highlight you want to proceed with and click "Create a Clip"
Now select the place you want to upload with the yellow tabs and you can press the yellow play button to see what will be uploaded.
Once you have it click the share button where you can give a brief description and select if you want to anyone to see it or only the person you give the link to.
Now you click Post and you get the link once it finished uploading.
And your finished
