We need to strike the right balance between too strict and too lenient. For example GTA:Online has an even more forgiving Hacking Policy than ours, you get 3 chances before getting permanently banned from the service.

I do not agree that Rockstar are to lenient, after each ban they reset your character and remove everything. Money, stats, level, cars, apartments, everything will be gone and you have to start from the beginning on lv1 each time you get banned.
The current Zarp hacking policy benefits cheaters, other then users. Cheating needs to be a permanent ban as its possible to appeal it, and admins need to be able to ban blatant cheaters
It is the same on ZARP, if you are caught using a cheat to exploit money and items your inventory will of course be reset. Because of the nature of our game that of course is almost never the case, the peer to peer nature of GTA:Online means it is much more common.
The current policy is very strict compared to other games. Currently once banned for cheating on ZARP you are not allowed to return to the server even if you buy a new account.
On CS:GO,TF2,Dota 2, GTA, Battlefield you name it. You are allowed as many chances as you want, simply by buying the game again.
Well you are allowed plenty of chances on Zarp even tho you are banned, simply by making a ban appeal. A lot of cheaters that have been caught have been given 2nd chances, 3rd chances, and lets not forget walter the great guy, who got caught 4 times and unbanned 4 times for hacking?
You are allowed 2 chances which is less than GTA:Online, where you have 3 chances before getting permanently banned. And even then you can try to appeal you ban. If your appeal fails, under their policy you are allowed to buy a new account and play again freely.
In ZARP once banned permanently for cheating you are not allowed to return, even if you buy a new account. This is indeed the strictest policy of any game that it's been compared to.
Since you are comparing zarp to gta I think it's important to know the differences ; In zarp it's a lot harder to get caught hacking. People using silent aim/trigger bot is almost impossible to detect, as anti-cheat has a hard time detecting it. This means that the only way to catch a lot of people hacking is if they admit it, and in many cases they dont, which furthermore means that they can hack as blatantly as they want, and the policy will protect them. I Think what a lot of people want to see is a change to the policy, where hackers that are blatantly cheating will be punished, just like in cs:go and in most games.
Lets just say even if they do admit to cheating, and they have been ruining everyone's experience, they will be punished with a kick / verbal warning, and be told not to do it again. What people want to see changed is a ban, as zarp right now has a weak punishment towards hackers. If a ban is issued towards hackers, it's gonna set an example, sure you could let them make a ban appeal, only once tho, if you fuck up after you've been unbanned you will not have the chance to appeal again.
It's all about setting an example, as a lot of people previously have said, people cheating will be issued a warning first, not even a ban. This sort of punishment sets an example that other people can cheat because the only punishment they will receive is a warning/kick, IF THEY GET CAUGHT.
- Edit , just saw a picture spoderman showed, it appears that rockstars bans are final and cannot be appealed afterall. Which means if you compare zarp to gta,Zarp is cheater friendly
