TOPIC: Templates...

So I'd like to see some people's criteria on why this bullshit should stay a thing.
The 'thing' I'm talking about is the obligation to use a template on warn/ban/demote requests
I think that if someone provides solid and clear evidence the staff team should be getting of their lazy asses and just handle it.
It's so illogical and backwards in my mind, if a new player had a horrible experience on a server and he has provided good evidence of someone for example, RDMing clearly and said player does not get warned because the new player didn't use the template.
Gives off a really bad first impression for newer players and leaves more rulebreakers unpunished.

So please, explain to me why this is still a thing. Old stupid habbits? Making the staff's job easier so they can start being lazier and lazier? Enlighten me please

I kinda agree, but something are needed on a ban request towards a normal user. Like steam id and proof of steam id

You can punish someone even if the victim ( player who makes the report ) hasnt followed the template. Its just the staff members choice.

If there is valid proof of SteamID and the rules broken and no template used I will deal with the report and notify the person who made the report to use the template in future, if it lacks any proof regardless of template use I will deny the report if no attempt was made to update with valid proof in a 24 hour period.

But then there would be an endless amount of "He RDM'd me" and that's all they put.

The reason the template is there so the players know what evidence they should present for the situation to be dealt with. If they provide the info without usage of the template it is still dealt with.

I find it chickenish seeing people pasting that shit on applications all the time
